My wife and I spent two wonderful weeks at the Maison de la Lagune. We found a little paradise lost at the end of a dirt road. Ocean site beautiful and pool area fantastic. The room are spacious bungalows and the air conditioning made our nights very pleasant. Room are cleaned every day. Food is very well prepared and on... More

Me and my husbands stayed at le maison de la lagune over the christmas break. The place, although they charge you european prices, it does not have any european standard: no buffet breakfast, expensive food compared to the life in ivory coast and the staff does not speak english. The worst surprise was when we were about to check out... More

Me and my husband stayed there a couple of nights. Although the scenery is beautiful, you have got to be careful of the staff. In the morning, they will ask you your room keys to clean your bungalows. We assumed that it was safe because they asked for the keys and, with European prices, you would expect a serious service.... We stayed a weekend at La Maison de la Lagune with our 2 dogs. It was great to take them along and have them just run on the beach. We live in Cocody and on the Friday lunch time it only took us 45min to get there. The rooms are big and comfy. However there is no place to hang... More

This little place is located on a narrow, palm tree studded, strip of land between the lagoon and the ocean. The 10 or so comfortable and tastefully decorated bungalows are on the lagoon side of the property, but the sound of the waves is ever present will sing you to sleep. The place has a great private beach with a... More

Been here several times, liked it much better than any other place in the immediate area of lower Bassam although I do not find it extraordinary. Food choice is quite limited particularly if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies. Service is also a bit disappointing and not exactly efficient particularly on Sundays when the small place is pretty packed.

We stayed there 3 nights. This place offers tranquility at its best. It is located in the middle of the narrow strip of land that separates lagoon from the Atlantic ocean and there is both ways about 5km of really slow sand road until the busy civilization starts. Owner is a friendly French lady, who has a lovely labrador to... More

I stayed at La Maison de la Lagune as a solo traveler and was truly blown away. The owner was such a fantastic, interesting and hospitable woman, the staff were extremely professional and attentive and the setting was idyllic. French-owned, the food was also amazing. I would highly recommend it!
