Although the lodge was old, as most of the places in Gatlinburg, it served our purpose by being convenient and clean. The king bed, balcany, and nice view was very pleasant. Would recommend. more

Riverside Motor Lodge is the best family value in the Smokies or any where else we have traveled over the years. My husband and I have 7 kids total, still 5 at home and most places want you to rent 2 rooms or you have to rent a cabin. Then you have to load everyone up and drive back in... more

I was not a guest at the Riverside Motor Lodge; I was a customer at a store in front of the hotel on 8-22-09. The hotel is behind the store that I was shopping at and I parked in what I thought was the store’s parking because there was NOT a sign stating that it was the hotels parking. There... more

There were many positive fans of The Riverside Motor Lodge but I have read a couple recent negative reviews so I was a bit reluctant to try it, but another TA member urged me to give it a try, I did and boy am I glad I did. I love the nostalgia of Gatlinburg, this hotel is the longest continuously... more

Me and my family was traveling to South Carolina and decided to break up the drive some and spend a night in Gatlinburg.. I did not plan ahead and tried to find some place in town and somewhat affordable.. I thought for this location that $90 was alright.. Well to start things off the person at the front desk was... more

However I don't enjoy the "ol timey smell!!) The room was seriously the size of my King size bed at home!! It was the smallest room i... more

The lobby was very country and pretty. It smelled a bit going down the halls but the room was very clean. Loved the big old bath tub. It was like walking back in time. Great soft bed and patio was nice size. Price was just right especially when you can walk out of the lobby and all kinds of shops... more

First, the good part . . . It's right in the middle of town, with plenty of FREE parking. All you need to do is park and walk.(Don't underestimate the value of this - Gatlinburg is crowded and cramped) Since it's a little hard to get out of the parking lot when there's a lot of traffic, I recommend exiting... more
