After riding (motorcycle) most of the day from Indiana, my husband and I stopped by the Gatlinburg Inn to see if rooms were available. It looked like a quaint little hotel. With no idea that motorcycle riders were not welcome, I proceeded to the lobby with my helmet in hand. I asked if they had rooms available and was told,... more

My husband and I stumbled upon this Inn while going through Gatlinburg. It's right in the middle of the fun. The rate was good and the room clean and comfortable. We even had a private balcony with two rockers. The Inn was built in the 30's and has had the same owner the entire time. I saw Mrs. Maple (she's... more

We were passing thru Gatlinburg with no intentions on spending the night. We decided to stop and see the Gatlinburg Inn. We had drove by many times over the years. We went inside and it was like a visit to a family member. We stayed for a week! Glad we did. Very relaxing and right in the middle of all... more

When my daughter was a little girl we came to Gatlinburg almost every year. We often wondered what the Gatlinburg Inn was like but just never had the chance to stay there. Well this year we decided to try since most of the reviews were very favorable. I'm not sure what kind of hotel these reviewers are used to but... more

The Gatlinburg Inn sits right on the main strip directly underneath the skylift(which I think they own). The room was very clean, with an updated bathroom. Yes, they do have a few rules, however we had no problem with it. We spent so little time in our room that we didn't even eat any of the food we smuggled in.... more

My wife and I stayed here one night the week of October 7th on our way to Savannah. This is one of those old-style inns with its own personality. They do not accept reservations over the phone with a credit card guarantee, though they do accept credit cards at check-in. They would not rent us the room until BOTH my... more

We chose to stay at the Gatlinburg Inn after reading reviews on this website. We wanted somewhere that was conveniently located withing walking distance to the things we wanted to do in town. We were not disappointed. The Inn was exactly what I expected........a charming, quiet place amidst the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. Our room was extremely clean, the... more

We were first time visitors to the Gatlinburg Inn, and were very pleased with the cleanliness of the Inn. We stayed 7 days and could not have been happier with our visit. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, and the 24hour security was a plus. If you are looking to take a step back in... more

We stayed at the Gatlinburg Inn for a long weekend with our two kids, 12 and 8. The location was excellent and the room was extremely clean. We booked a family suite. The only thing that was bothersome was the rooms connect via the bathroom. That was a bit inconvenient when moving between rooms if the bathroom was occupied. Otherwise,... more

I was a little unsure about staying at the Gatlinburg Inn. I'm pretty used to the new and "modern" hotels (Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, La Quinta, ect.) But I loved staying at the Gatlinburg Inn! The old time feel is what really wowed me. The shag carpeting, HUGE beds that are pretty high up off the floor, the goose feather pillows.... more
