Very old fashioned but makes up for shortcomings in lots of personality. Almost like the hotel from: Barton Fink movie. Small pillows. Nice staff. Cool decor. Nice staff and secure parking.

My wife & I stayed there in 1977 for our honeymoon, and have come back many times since, including again this summer. A bit quaint, as the owner has kept the original feel in the decorating, but always clean and good service. And, it puts you right downtown G-burg; you can walk anywhere from your room.
Gatlinburg Inn is located right in the heart of Gatlinburg. It is an older facility, rather quaint as the rooms are furnished in 60's style furniture, the carpet and wallpaper are from that era as well. If you like to sit and relax, there is a balcony or patio for each room and plenty of rocking chairs in the lobby...

We just finished our third stay at this hotel. While we love the '60s decor and nice staff, the noise in the evening & night this time has made us decide we won't stay here again. There was a musician street performer set up in the parking lot (with the permission of the hotel owner) playing guitar and singing. She...

this is the first time in 31 years that we were able to get a reservation(Sept 30,oct 1).My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. No hair dryer however, we knew that in advance.we will return next year.
We stay in The Gatlinburg INN on October 7 & 8 of October 2011.
I'm telling you we had 3 15 yr olds, a 16 year old, and an 11 year old. This place is an oldet place I believe one of the firsts hotels built here in 1937. It has that old timey feel and even has an old...

The only place we or I have stayed for the past 20 years while visiting the GSMNP. I thought it was a private resort at first until I asked one day and was shown the inside and a room. Clean, friendly, quiet, fun, safe, and worth every penny. They have rules and that is fine with me. You will not...

We thought we had stepped back in time. From the wallpaper, to the pipes hanging from the ceiling, to the old wooden doors and the old carpet, the drapes, the parlor's. You feel as though you have went back into the 1960's. With that being said, if you need a blow dryer, frig, or iron bring your own. There are...

Loved the charming atmosphere of days gone by. Furniture and carpet are from yesteryear, this was a place that many famous and infamous persons have chose to reside at while in Gatlinburg and it is has a wonderful atmosphere! Sure you must not bring in outside eats, but who needs to eat in bed anyway, lol, the rules didn't bother...

Weekend at the Gatlinburg Inn.....and I agree with several other posters. Staff is friendly...great maid service....great location if you want to be in the middle of Gatlinburg. I also agree that the Inn has not been updated since the 60's....or possibly earlier. No antiques....just cheap, old furniture with carpet that also has not been updated. Plastic upholstered sofas in rooms,...
