Traveled up and down the strip to price out the different hotels and The Edgewater was well worth the price we paid for it comparted to many on the strip which were more expensive. The staff was pleasant in checking us in. We stayed in room 507 and the view was nice of the mountains and overlooked the little pigeon... more

We were wary of this hotel because it is one of the older hotels in the city, but we needed a room on Memorial Day weekend, and had no other choice. What a pleasant surprise!!! The hotel has been recently renovated, and the room was spacious with a great view of the mountains. Although the bathroom ceiling was overlooked in... more

Continental breakfast was disgraceful-they had no fruit, coffee was terrible, just plain white bread, no bagels or english muffins, cut up doughnuts, positively disgusting!!!! Staff (when you could find them) were not at all courteous, front desk personnel sat behind the counter with their heads down. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, but all in all, I wouldn't give them a... more

Please think to raise your eyes in welcome. It wouldn't kill you and it does not cost you anything. And, cost-wise, how much would it cost if you were to include a soapdish for the soap in each room. I used the smaller than average bathmat and the smaller than average towels and soap, but there was no lotion, no... more

My husband and I stayed at the Edgewater Hotel May 17-21. I did quite a bit of research before chosing the edgewater and am now glad I did. LOCATION: The #1 thing this hotel has going for it has to be the location. It just doesn't get any better. It is one block behind the parkway, which means its close... more

Being a regular visitor to Gatlinburg over the past 30 years I decided to stay someplace different. I was always tempted to stay at one of the places on River Road since they looked very inviting with an awesome view over the Pigeon Rvier. We selected Edgewater because of their advertising of just completing a multimillion dollar renovation project. In... more

First of all, I was leary of staying here after reading the reviews but this was a spur of the moment trip and I needed someplace reasonable quickly. I called and got the entertainment book rate which was $75 for a river view room and the person who booked me was really nice. My 10 year old son and I... more

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The room was ok, nothing great. The bathroom was small and looked outdated. Our tv didn't have any inputs so we couldn't hook up our portable dvd player. The free breakfast was horrible! The milk tasted funny, and even after we complained and fresh milk was put out it still tasted the same.... more

Did a pretty good amount of research before we chose the Edgewater and found that most of the knocks on this place were true. Pros - the location is one of the best in the town. The beds were VERY comfortable. TV was nice and room was clean. Cons - bathroom was dated - drop down tile ceiling in disrepair.... more

We wanted to be in the middle of it all, but in a relaxing place. We picked the right place. -Parking deck is 2 levels P1 and P2. P1 is for vans/larger vehicles and P2 is for cars. Both levels have luggage racks available. The lobby is not on the same level as the parking garage. So you have to... more
