Location is great.... Easy walk everywhere.... The parking garage is HORRIBLE.... Extremely tight. The cont breakfast is a joke... Cereal, watered down milk and a waffle if you want to make it yourself.... The pool could use some sprucing up. Not up to par compared to some of the newer hotels... Overall, we were happy with the location and the... more

We stayed at the Edgewater for 4 nights and were so pleased with our choice. The location is for sure the best part of this hotel. You are in short walking distance of nearly everything in Gatlinburg, it's located just behindn the main strip and close to the aquarium. We were able to keep our car in the parking garage... more

This hotel has one of the best locations for Gatlinburg. Short walk to the trolley stop, the main drag, haunted house attraction is right next door and the aquarium is close by. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have stayed at this hotel in the late 1980's and thought it would be fun to return. The hotel was clean... more

Pool was cold (inside and out) plus it would only hold 5 people comfortable. Parking for an SUV was a joke. Have dings and dents in ouf car from trying to park in the tiny spot allowed. Could not get WI-Fi to work half the time. Could not carry my family continental breakfast to the room, which consisted of corn... more

For those of you haven't been to Gatlinburg, parking is a major issue. Not when you stay at the Edgewater Hotel. You're only one street over from all the action. We loved the Hotel, the location and the customer service we received. Nice rooms, great views. A very clean and well ran establishment. Front Desk was great, if didn't know... more

Just checked out of the Edgewater this morning. When I dragged my feet up to the reception desk, the friendly staff member asked me, 'What can I help you with today?" and I replied, "Checking out. Unfortunately." My parents and I took a family trip to Gatlinburg and absolutely loved everything Gatlinburg had to offer, not to mention we loved... more

Our room was clean, and it was roomy enough for 3 of us to move around freely. The furnishings appeared to all have been updated as part of the renovations the hotel touts on their site. The bathroom was a bit small, I suppose, but adequate for bathing and grooming. With the exception of the ceiling tiles (which looked a... more

...the fact they don't have any suites that are non-smoking was somewhat annoying. Febreeze took care of the room, but the hallways were still awful. Overall though it was a nice place. Off the main strip which is always nice. Continental breakfast could use a little beefing up, but free is free and I can't complain. Had the best price... more

Booked directly from hotel's website and got a good deal. This hotel is old but looks nice and in a perfect location. Good size room but smelled old . Bed is fine and comfortable. The carpet odor is a big issue, we had to spray lysol freshener to eliminate the unpleasant odor. Front desk is excellent, very friendly and accomodating.... more

First time I have stayed in Gatlinburg. The hotel is right in the middle of town and within walking distance of most anything you want. It was very clean and rooms were great. I traveled with my daughter and grandaughter so being close to things was nice. Didnt have to worry about parking. Ive heard bad things about the parking... more
