Room was average and dated. Watch out for all of the hotel 'rules' (e.g., curfew at midnight, $300 if you break the fragile door lock, etc.)! We were in room 419, which is right above the outside pool. Sleeping area is good sized but the bathroom is strickly 1 person room. If you are standing in front of toilet - you can't close the door. We visited this hotel in early May with 44 picky guests in 28 rooms. First, the front desk staff made check-in a breeze...this was the easiest check-in I have ever experienced. We travelled with a 14 month old baby and my 65 year old Mother-In-Law. I needed a hotel that gave fridge and microwave and parking without charging me anything above rent. We've stayed at the edgewater hotel just about every time we go to gatlinburg. It's very nice, clean right off of strip so no driving, just leave your car in hotels private parking garage.
