We had driven 10 hours to arrive at the Edgewater. Problem Areas: *Parking Garage is very very tight. *Elevators (2) are the slower than slow. *Front Desk consists of unfriendly employees with no smile or greeting. *Front Desk did not supply us with Hotel Info. in regards to Restaurant, Pool or Room Service. *Continental Breakfast was a PIG STY. We stayed here for two nights after having a horrible experience at another hotel the night before. Called the hotel directly and they even let us come and see a room before we made a reservation. We stayed on the 5th floor and had no complaints wtih the room whatsoever. Private balcony and great view of the mountains. Within walking... more

Me and My family stayed at The Edgewater Hotel in Gatlinburg Tennessee for two nights. The Edgewater Hotel is a nice place to go if you only have one child maybe okay if you have two. The parking is real crammed so bring a car if you have it. The elevator is slower than a turtle and I recommend you... more

Not the worst place I stayed in and not the best either. Actually, the rooms were pretty clean, average size, and the hallways were what I noticed as being the most freshly updated. Friendly staff were present and this hotel is right in the heart of Gatlinburg which makes the location quite ideal because it is within walking distance to... more

The parking spaces were to small. We had to park our small truck in the back. The web site was very misleding. They seem to have paid too much on the 1.5 million $ rentavation. The bathrooms were very tiny and rusty. The breakfast was okay. Not enough seating. The elevators were super slow. Staff was okay. We found a... more

Stayed at the Edgewater for the 4th of July weekend. If you value your car, would not recommend staying there. Parking spaces are very tight and difficult to maneuver. Both cars driven by our group were damaged in the garage parking area, one of them a Camry which is not a large car. Hotel rooms were very nice and clean,... more

PROS: Nice water pressure, beds o.k. (too arched and high), Very spacious rooms. Although room was above pool, the room was solid with no outer noise. Dark & quiet room: A+. (We were on mountainside). Breakfast was adequate: biscuits & gravy, boiled eggs, danishes, donuts, orange juice, coffee (strong), milk, toast, bagels, cereals, oatmeal (u-fix it), muffins, pancakes. Easy access... more

Ithink from the pictures on line i expected to much, it was not a clean place. Mold and mildew in the pool and the water smelled like body odor. The front desk clerk was rude and not helpful at all. She gave others who were checking in information about the hotel, but did not tell us anything except that we... more

Great place to stay. You have a river running across the front of the building, and an awesome view from the balcony, especially at night. Was seemingly within 2 blocks of everything. Clean rooms, bathrooms, and the beds were comfy too. Parking garage had attendants to keep an eye on things, and friendly staff was helpful with everything. Would recommend... more

We arrived June 29 and stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were very clean. Furniture looked very nice. Beds were new (kinda soft for us) they were pillow tops. The rooms were redone but the skipped on the bathrooms at bit. There was rust above our shower around the ceiling. Our room had a fantastic view. We were in a very... more
