Stayed at Brookside July 7-11, 2014. The Expedia add promised elevators. There were none in the building that our room was in. Our room was on the 2nd floor. There was a steep ramp that went up to the 2nd floor level. Both my husband and I have trouble walking, and struggling up that ramp with one week's worth of... More

We recently went to Gatlinburg and decided to stay at Brookside Resort - Our daughter had her wedding reception there are couple years ago. We had 3 rooms and were pleased with the rooms. They were spacious, had a breakfast area with microwave and fridge, I loved the back little patio with a brook running behind the room. The staff... More

We stayed at Brookside Resort again on July 3, 2014. The beds had memory foam mattresses and were very comfortable. Left our balcony door open and fell asleep listening to the stream that runs along behind the hotel. They offer a very good breakfast that is better than most hotel breakfasts. After eating breakfast, I enjoyed a bath in the... More

Stayed over the 4th of July.Overall several con's as well as pros. Pros Great location away from the hustle and noise with a quick trolley ride into town. Breakfast was very good. The deck over the creek was beautiful. 2 pools one on each side of the property. Cheap laundry area if you need to do some laundry. Free Wi-Fi... More

We stayed at the Brookside Resort over the 4th of July weekend. The location was beautiful, the running brook right behind the rooms made the resort truly 'Brookside'. Very close to downtown Gatlinburg, and hence to the entrance of the Smoky Mountain National Park. The con list is much longer - the housekeeping was lackadaisical, and that is putting it... More

First of all let me say that my family has stayed in this facility since the 1980's. It has always held a special place for vacationing in the smokies. However, THIS WAS OUR LAST TIME...... Upon arrival our reservations where correct, (Thank You Lyle). We had 2 rooms side by side. Upon entering the room, as in the past, it... More

We went to the Gatlinburg area to celebrate our birthdays (6/27-6/28) and get in some hiking in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We had a special deal for this hotel and we would stay here again if we saw another deal. It is convenient to the Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Our room was much bigger than the usual... More

We got a king room deluxe. The room was very outdated and didn't have much light. The toilets were water saver toilets and it was hard to get it to flush. The pool was okay could use a coat of paint. All in all I would not stay here again.

The front desk girl was really nice! But that was about the only thing that was nice.We stayed in the four story part of the hotel. Our room was dusty and the bathroom floor had hair on it. The toilet was running the entire stay, my husband had to fix it every time we used it. The bedspread had stains... More

It was a great hotel value through living social during my husband's and I two night stay here. I was skeptical at best, but they didn't "lose" our reservation as I feared. We walked into the room and there was a smoke odor. Upon using our sense of sight we realized it was from the chimney. After a few minutes... More
