This places says its friendly and all about family but I made a reservation with them and they asked for a credit card to hold it, which is fairly typical anymore at a lot of restaurants. They NEVER said they would charge if I canceled or couldn't make it. They never warned me about this or told me an amount... more

We stayed in one of the original cabins (#1). The furniture was a little worn, but the cabin was extremely comfortable and cozy. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and jacuzzi during our rainy stay in the Smokies. The inn has two other important advantages. First is its location about six miles outside of Gatlinburg in the woods; there is plenty... more

We stayed in Premier Room 1 for two nights. I can only describe the staff and owners as perfect. The room was beautiful, the other other guests were friendly and it was so relaxing. Had a wonder ful view from our room and verandah. This was my first time in Tenessee and i enjoyed it tremendously. On check out, we... more

We stayed in Cottage 3. It was all that we had hoped for and more. It was spacious and clean, beautifully decorated and the view from the screened in porch was fabulous. The owners were most gracious and accommodating. When I called to reserve the cottage, I asked if the shower had a grab bar. I was told no but that... more

I had remembered the Buckhorn Inn from an episode of "Tennessee Crossroads" a while back. It was even better than I had remembered from the show. After checking in with Heidi,we walked in the front door which leads directly into the beautiful dining room & a view that will make your jaw drop. The wall of the dining room is... more

We stayed one night in the Tower Room and two nights in Traditional Room 1. I loved them both. I can see how the Tower Room wouldn't be for everyone (kind of cramped, have to go up three flights of narrow stairs to get to the bedroom), but I thought it was like being in a cozy treehouse. Breakfast was... more

I was at the Buckhorn from July 16-20...I am so delighted I made the choice to stay here! It is an absolutely lovely place. I stayed in Cabin 5--it was a great size with a gas fireplace in the living room and a very spacious whirlpool bathtub in the bathroom, and a cute little porch off the bedroom and a... more

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at the Buckhorn Inn. Our room was lovely, the breakfasts were wonderful and the setting is beautiful. The inn has lovely grounds with a nature trail and gardens to enjoy. Easy access to Smokey Mt. National Park is another plus. If you want a more lively atmosphere you can go into... more

Thank you for a wonderful night in the Buckhorn Inn. It was an honor to meet you, and to be greeted so personally and with such warmth. We also appreciate the opportunity to upgrade from the Tower Room, though we would not have been disappointed one little bit to stay in such a unique setting! It's just that the view... more

I should have read reviews, done more research before staying here. Will not stay again. Too high priced for what you actually get. Pics on the website definitely done by a professional, not true representation. Felt like I was in the "seven dwarfs cottage." We stayed in cottage 2 for three nights; mold and mildew smell as soon as you... more
