We missed our annual visit last year to the Buckhorn Inn We keep returning so it must be good huh? It's better than good it is great! We always feel welcome and are treated wonderfully. They are gracious hosts in a beautiful location. We recommend it as a quiet, restful, relaxing place. Can't wait till next year.

This is our second time at Buckhorn Inn. It did not disappoint. We come here to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. We do not engage in the tourist traps of Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Breakfast and Dinners are an experience you cannot miss. After each meal enjoy a few moments on the rocking chairs looking out... More

This inn has been here over 75 years, yet we believe has just its' third owners. The Mellors' are class people and run a wonderful B&B. If wanting to stay further than within walking distance to the tourist attractions in the Tennessee Smokies, yet have a front door or more literally front porch view of the highest mountain peak in... This is the second time we have stayed at the Buckhorn; we have lovingly reminisced about it many times since we first stayed a decade ago. There's not much I can add to the reviews below, other than to note that our hearts have grown even fonder. I am not normally at a loss for words, but it is hard... More

The Buckhorn is in a quiet location away from the noise of Gatlinburg. Our room was a "premium" one and we found it clean, very comfortable, with many amenities. More like staying at a friend's home. The staff was all so friendly, among them we found "Libby" to always be most cheerful and helpful. We had dinner there on Sunday... More

Only a few miles from touristy Gatlinburg but a different world. Don't come expecting a flash 5 star hotel but instead a delightful welcoming inn. Set in magnificent grounds with views to die for. Gracious innkeepers and friendly staff will look after you well. The breakfast is different ever morning and is delicious. Dinner in the inn also a treat.... More

In the Great Smokies: Just a few miles from noisy Gatlinburg, but truly a world away. We first visited this classic inn several years ago & looked forward to our return. Wonderful view from the room. Comfortable room; small bathroom , which goes along with age of inn; worth the trade off. Lovely furnishings. Interesting artwork all around. The extensive... More

A well needed respite in a gorgeous setting, this mountain retreat in the heart of the Smokies met and exceeded our expectations in every way. A friendlier staff simply can't be found & everyone from the owner to the office manager to the wait staff and the chef himself always engaged us and warmly treated us like old friends. The... More

Spent our anniversary weekend here. Scenic location with quaint, clean accommodations. The staff really welcome you and make you feel at home. Food at the restaurant is 5 star!! Beautiful walking trail around the property was a joy. Looking forward to another trip.

My husband and I were at Buckhorn 25 years ago for our honeymoon, and decided to return. It was as lovely as ever, and in fact improved. A true haven/escape, a far cry from the commercial horror of Gatlinburg. It felt like stepping back in time with the dining room reminiscent of 1950's and lovely verandah looking at the fabulous...
