We're a military family, so we don't see the extended family often, but this summer we met my family half way and stayed here for a week in Gatlinburg. It was great! Only one had a camper, the rest of us stayed in 3 of their cabins. The cabins were beautiful inside and had everything we needed for our time... More

This campground is family owned and run - and the family is awesome. They are super kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. Their office closes at 8 pm but we were running late getting there, and the couple that manages it told us when I called that they live on property and would be happy to meet us at the office if... We called after office hours and the sweetest young lady answered anyway. She held a camp stall for us. We arrived about 20 minutes later planning to stay one night. She was so sweet and helpful that we booked in for two nights. She gave directions to my husband for the next morning. Patrick helped us find our stall in... More

Since the day we called to make a reservation we were treated like family, but the not too smothering kind! Chong and Barry helped us register and get set up at camp when we arrived. The campground is a nice size and is laid out on the rolling hills. It was relatively full when we were there but it never... More

This was our third summer staying at this campground... Barry and Chong always go out of their way to accommodate our requests and treat us like family. The facilities are immaculate and I would say to those who don't like the cable, stay somewhere else. But, you'll pay a whole lot more to watch TV when you're supposed to be... More

This is a lovely campground just outside of the main Gatlinburg hustle and bustle. It is one of the cleanest and prettiest campgrounds we have been to. There are flowers and bushes throughout the campground. The owners are very helpful and concerned about making your stay a good one. We stayed for a weekend this July, and would love to... More

We have been traveling for a month so we have stayed in many campgrounds..from state parks to "luxury"campgrounds and this has been one of our favorites. Very clean and well-kept, nice shaded sites, incredibly nice, helpful owners, Barry and Chong. They gave us great recommendations forlocal sights to see and they were very accommodating. We are traveling in a 45ft... More

It was our first time visiting the Smokies, first time towing our camper. We arrived quite late almost around midnight, but Patrick was still there at the gate house and guided us to our site. I had a tough time backing in the camper, thank Patrick's great help, we made it without hitting a tree or falling into the ditch.... More

Smoky Bear Campground is a clean, family friendly place to stay near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The owners are accommodating in handling requests, knowledgable of the area, and genuinely kind. We stayed in two cabins (because we made reservations so late and close to our arrival time, we had to change cabins after the first night). Both cabins... More

My husband, grandson, 4 Chihuahuas and I took our new camper on a trip to the Smokies. While searching for possible places to stay that were pet friendly, we came upon Smoky Bear CG's website. We are certainly glad that we decided to stay there...it was wonderful! The owner is so nice to deal with. We asked for a site... More
