A clean, well-groomed, and tidy spot; about ten miles from Gatlinburg proper. Nicely distanced from the commercial bustle, this is a convenient launching spot for discovering the northern regions of the Smokey Mountains National Park, local crafts shops, and bypassing the heavy traffic leading to Pigeon Forge. Staff is friendly and helpful, bathrooms/showers are kept clean, and 30-amp hookups are... More

The guidebook said it was a 10/10*/10 campground and it is. A small property with surprisingly private, shaded sites. Very very clean shower house (bad showers are a kiss of death for me). Friendly staff, immaculate and...reasonable.

Really nice, quiet campground with friendly staff. Nice gravel sites. Wi-Fi access. Everything was very clean...grounds, bathrooms, showers, pool, hot tub, small store, etc. We look forward to planning another trip to the area and will be staying at Smoky Bear again. We stayed for 6 nights in a motorhome.

Enjoyed a wonderful week with my two daughters at Smoky Bear. Recently divorced, and having sold our camper, I was worried we would be unable to get the camping experience in a cabin rental. But Smoky Bear Campground has great cabins and we had a blast. The grounds were impeccably clean, service was friendly and everything was just perfect. We... More

One of my biggest annoyances about campgrounds is their inability or refusal to enforce quiet hours. Of those that do, it is not uncommon to hear the campground fire up the leaf blowers, weedeaters, lawn mowers, etc. approximately one minute after the quiet hours ends. This may be the first campground I've stayed where I was never awakened by someone... More

My family stayed here last weekend when we decided to take a weekend getaway. We have visited the Gatlinburg/Piegon Forge often and stayed in many different hotels in the area. We fell in love with this place. It is a bit further out than we had wanted in the beginning, but once we got there, it didn't feel like an... More

This has to be the most manicured campground we have ever stayed at. Each site is surrounded by trees and landscaped with beautiful flower beds. The pull through sites are asphalt, the back in sites are pea gravel. I appreciate being able to walk across the site barefoot without worry of sharp stones or sticks. Upon check in, the lady... Great hikes right from the campground Comfortable and clean and away from the mobs in town. We hated to leave Great source of lesser known walks in the park and local walks. Would stay again, very quiet

Campground is very clean. Big rig accessible. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The owner stopped by to introduce himself shortly after checking in. We stayed in spot 48 which is a long pull through capable of our 45 motor home and SUV tow vehicle. Connections were easily accessible. Pad was concrete, level and shaded with a picnic table... We stayed at the cabin and we loved it. The cabin was super clean and cute, all wood, with the wonderful scent of raw wood. Campground is perfectly clean. Te owners are very friendly and beyond helpful. Highly recommend!
