I had stayed here with my parents, son and daughter several years ago. The rooms were nice and the owners friendly. So I decided to stay here again with my mom. Boy, what a mistake!! When we arrived on Sunday, June 21, the woman at the front desk was not very friendly and seemed rather put out that we came... more

We just returned from our trip to Gatlinburg for our anniversary and we were very pleased with Johnson's Inn. This was our first time staying here and we will definitely stay again. The service was great and we had no problems at all. It is an older hotel....but to me, that is part of the charm. The rooms were clean... more

The hotel is located in walking distance of just about anything you can do in Gatlinburg. If you are not into walking, the trolley stop is a very minimal stroll as well. The location is also far enough off the strip to where this is a very quiet place to stay to get a good night sleep. The creek running... more

I vowed before I stayed to give an honest opinion on this motel upon returning home. Here it is...It's ranked like #4 with trip advisor at my time of writing this...that's way to high...There is no way it can rank that high if everything is put into consideration. The best way I can describe it is that it's a typical... more

In hindsight I wish we had stayed on the "old" side. While the rooms on the condo side are larger, it is obvious the exterior of the building, hallways and such are not being as well maintained due to the fact that they will eventually be remodeled into condos. Stained outdoor carpet, peeling paint, rust and such. No BIG issues,... more

We appreciate your review and comments and want to thank you for pointing out areas that need to be corrected. Sometimes we get so used to seeing things that we forget how they look through the eyes of others. We have cleaned up behind the 4 story building and we are in the process of remodeling with the condos but...

We stayed in one of the condos - my parents (70+), me (40+) and my son and his friend (teenagers), so a condo was a perfect solution for our mix. The decor was beautiful and the furniture very comfy. I loved how close we were to the main strip and to The Donut Friar (who serves great coffee and donuts).... more

We have been staying at Johnson's Inn for years. We just love it and most of all the staff. Always so friendly and go out of their way to take great care of you. We love it because it is close to the "main drag" but off enough to be quite. We love to take our coffee out by the... more

The Johnson Inn is located just off the main street in Gatlinburg, in easy walking distance of all the attractions. Of partcular interest, just around the corner, is the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Check out the great breakfasts at the Pancake Pantry while you are there, and feed the ducks which hang around the stream which runs right... more
