The Gillette Motel is one of the cleanest motels or hotels I have ever stayed in. It is cleaner than some four or five star properties I have visited. The place is "dated," but who cares. We booked our stay at this motel with friends that had stayed here many times before. The atmosphere felt very safe, the staff was very friendly, the beds were comfortable, but the most noticeable aspect of this motel was exemplary cleanliness. The motel is okay but really out dated. I felt like I was sleeping in my Ma maw's basement--right along with the old fashioned, cotton bedspread and 1960 furniture. The rooms are large but depressing. The only positive is its location and out side appearance. If your looking for modern opulence then skip this one. more
