We spent a night at the Buckberry this July after reading reviews on Tripadvidor and were not disappointed. The location is lovely and the continental breakfast was superior to most that we have had. Our room was fine, one of the smaller ones, but the bathroom was very large and really nice. We talked to some of the guests about... more

The lodge itself is wonderful, and the setting will take your breath away. However, the staff leaves something to be desired. After reading several reviews about the noise levels, I called and requested a room on the top level and stated I would be willing to pay any extra charges. I was assured I would get a third level room.... more

My wife and I really love this hotel. At around $160 a night, it was the best "bang for the buck" that we have ever had. The terry cloth robes, whirlpool tub, wood burning fireplace were all great. I agree with all the great remark made about this place. more

The hotel is situated in a stunning location. The trail works are fantastic. We found the suites to be very impressive, with high spec in every room. The staff were very helpful and food is pretty good too. This is great place to go get closer to nature, it is 100% recommended. more

Just what the owners promise and more. Children I am sure are welcome but this property is for romance, solitude, reflection and is a beautiful retreat. The creek pavillion at dusk is were to have a close bear encounter. Sit, be still and quiet and one might come very close! It happened for us in late June 2008, first time... more

A last minute getaway, we booked our stay at Buckberry Creek through Expedia. What a find! We stayed in the Nymph suite. The suite was clean and comfortable. Staff was very accomodating and pleasant. We stayed in a gallery suite, upgraded from a lodge suite. Wonderful gas fireplace and large master bath. Comfy soft bed. Second story balcony provided a... more

I can't say enough. This place was amazing! We stayed in the room named 'Leconte". The view overlooking Mt. Leconte was incredible. Very clean. The Adirondack architecture was beautiful. We arrived in our shorts and t-shirts and seen many people dressed up (probably for dinner) and we weren't sure how we would be greeted. But they were exceptionally nice to... more

Stayed at the Lodge on 4/23 and loved it! Rooms are clean and confortable with georgous views of the mountains. This hotel provides a lot of nice extras-free internet, water, sodas, hot chocolate etc., as well as a yummy continental breakfast in the morning. Loved the cranberry scones and coffee cake! My family and I had dinner there-pricy but the food was... more

My husband, 9-year old son and I stayed here for 3 days over our spring break trip. We selected a lodge room thinking it would be plenty big enough for the 3 of us. It wasn't. The hotel was not very crowded but they didn't offer us the chance to upgrade to a bigger room. The rooms are cute enough... more

My husband and I stayed at Buckberry for the fourth time last week-this time for our anniversary. For those who love the Smokies for its unparalleled natural beauty and awesome hiking but also enjoy a romantic, relaxing hotel experience this is the place for you. The lodge is Adirondack lodge style with rooms that are absolutely immaculate. Our lodge suite... more
