I have no problem with the lady that runs the hotel, she is a very nice lady. Her son on the other hand could use some lessons in customer interaction. I have stayed there many times and every time I do, I say I won't go back because he is so hateful. But this last time my husband and I... More

My husband and I love to escape for a quick getaway in the mountains from time to time, and this place is just what the dr ordered! It's vintage, but that's how we like a place to crash for the night. Immaculately clean, and not too far of a walk from the main drag. Great visit, and we paid $100... More

Not the king's castle, but not the moat either. This hotel is just far enough off the "main drag" for a quite night's sleep (just don't get a room next to the ice machine), but it's still well within walking distance. The rooms are a little dated, average in size, but do include mini fridge and microwave. The beds are... More

I was not as happy with my stay this time at the Kingwood Inn as I was in the past. The front desk clerk advised us that their credit card machine was down upon arrival. Don't think they could control that but in the room the phone was dead, the cable on the tv was not constant, it would go... More

Booked this hotel on Orbitz for a one night stay. Looked at reviews, it had good and bad. I had called and asked for a ground floor room. The man on the phone said no problem. I get there and they tell me that if you don`t book with them, you go to the back of the room list. They... More

I was kind of surprised when I arrived that the place had received the decent reviews it had. It's not terrible, but it's not great. It's not clean at all, and there are no pleasant extras. Everything is outdated. However, the owner is very friendly, and the location is pretty great. It was super overpriced for a holiday weekend, even.... More

We have stayed here every year for 30 years. Mary and employees at kingwood have always went out of their way to be helpful and make us comfortable. We hope to stay many years to come. They make sure we are very happy.

I am a first time reviewer. I am not sure how this could even be considered clean. The non smoking room gave me a terrible headache due to the smell of smoke. We had to kill several bugs when we arrived and I didn't sleep due to the bugs on the ceiling we could not reach. The sheets and bedding... More

Kingwood Inn is the vintage Hotels/Inns that I seek out when I go on my road trips. It is nothing fanny in any means, however, the hospitality out beats the high luxury, over priced places. The room was clean, older mini fringe and microwave, TV with local service, plenty of clean towels, nice size pool with plenty of seating, chairs... More
