We travel RCI timeshare all the time with a group and kids. This place was great. There were not many preplanned kid things, but our teenagers loved walking the strip and hanging out. The pools were good sized( no jacuzzi though). We loved the basketball court and played almost everyday. There is a city park up the stree about 3... more

My husband and I stayed at the Gatlinburg Town Square last September. The biggest ‘adjustment’ for we West Coasters was the drive through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. This was our first trip to this part of the country, we were in the area visiting our recently re-located friends and we had never heard of Gatlinburg. We booked here simply for... more

We also booked through RCI and were told we would be staying in a "resort" with an indoor and outdoor pool, laundry, games for the kids, hot tub etc. When we got there we were told the main resort area was overbooked and that we would be going down the block to stay at The Gatlinburg Village Resort. I was... more

We just finished our weekend & I must say I encountered some of the rudest people ever. When we tried to check in it was to early & we were told by a young man with a bag of chips up to his mouth to come back later. We asked what time would be the earliest we could check in (we were... more

We booked a week through RCI as a time share and expected it to be of the same quality as others we stayed at. It is not. I am writing this from the resort. The "room", a studio, is tacky. This isn't like others we have seen. The kitchen - pots wobble, oven burns, sink leaks. Pool - no chairs,... more

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Gatlinburg and stayed at the Gatlinburg Town Square. Our unit was a studio unit, and these are only suitable for 2 people in my opinion. They are small, but do include a refrigerator, a microwave and a sink which is nice. There would be sleeping for 4 but I wouldn't be... more

We came just before Christmas and we had a great time. We enjoyed Ober Gatlinburg as well as Christmas shopping at Tanger. The crowds were difficult at night but daytime was fine. Our room was comfortable. There were four people in our party and a fifth joined us for one evening. We had plenty of space. Being on the outskirts... more

We just got back from our trip to Tennessee and we stayed at the GTS for a week. Our stay was wonderful! We have our 4 kids with us and we all slept VERY comfortably. THe unit was fairly new and had nice leather furniture and nice tiled floors. The bathroom was HUGE and their was a jacuzzi tub in... more

Don't waste your vacation at this place! We were put on the 1st floor in phase 2 our units overlooked the parking lot in the front and the smoking area at the hotel next door in the back. In one of our units they even parked a huge camper in front of our balcony so we had a great view... more

My parents purchased two weeks at this time share in the 80's, so I have visited GTS many times. Gatlinburg has of course changed so much since then, and Pidgeon Forge is nothing like it was - Dollywood used to be the only attraction! Although it is more commercialized in the two towns (that are very close together), the mountains... more
