Easy to find only about a block off the parkway, and friendly desk clerks on all shifts. Now, some of the lights in the room did not work, an electrical outlet was loose from the wall (glad i didn't have small children), carpet runner between room and bathroom was standing in closet, curtain pullers were standing in the corner of... more

We just returned from a weekend in Gatlinburg. We always like to stay within walking distance of the Parkway and we always take our 2 chihuahua's so we chose Microtel. It is just a 3 minute walk to all the activity in town. The hotel has no pool but the rooms have been just fine for our pet-loving family. And... more

MY wife and I stayed here in september 2005. We didn't mind that the room was microscopic. We weren't in the room all that much anyway. But the parking was ok, although you might as well plan on hiking your bags up to your room...the elevator wasn't working while we were there. The staff at the front desk were indifferent... more

We used to go over to Gatlinburg 2 times a month. We have stayed at a few of the hotels in town, and found this hotel to be one of the worst in town. The rooms are very small, usually the linens are dirty and the carpet is pitiful. The service is terrible and don't try to go from the... more

We just came back from Gatlinburg, TN. Loved Gatlinburg and the mountains! But the hotel.... when i made the reservation on line it looked great. A nice continental breakfast layout in the morning, nice rooms, pool.... WRONG! The breakfast was crammed into this tiny room with only 2 or 3 tables. When the food ran out, too bad. There wasn't... more

I am writing to respond to this review of our hotel. During this time period our hotel was undergoing serious remodeling and repair. There were many things in disarray, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvinience to this guest. Our carpet has been completely replaced and our elevator has not had any problems as long as I've been working here....

My husband and I decided to go to Gatlinburg for a weekend with my sister and her boyfriend. We both have puppies, so we needed a place that is pet-friendly. We found this hotel. The price was acceptable, and it didn't seem so bad online. We get there and the clerk gives us a key to the first room next... more

I apologize for the stains on the carpet. I'm happy to say we've had all our carpet replaced since then.

The word MICRO should have told me something!!!!! The room was way to small, the staff UNfriendly, and it was an act of congress to get in the place via the parking lot elevator!!!!!! I would not stay there again! more

I apologize for your inconvinience! I urge everyone who considers our hotel to understand it is called "Microtel" because the rooms are smaller than your average single or double bed hotel rooms. They're about as big as a hospital room. We had many issues with our elevator in the past, but it is now fully functional and we haven't had...

We have stayed at this property twice before, but that was several years ago. The elevator button in the parking area is "jury rigged" with little to no instructions on its operation. Management put up security cameras (for what I dont know, the place looked like it has been vadalized and needs repairs,up-keep). They have a room cleaning problem. The... more

My husband and I decided to go to Gatlinburg on a whim for our anniversary (yeah, what were we thinking, right?) and found the Microtel to stay in. Perhaps we're used to travelling in third world countries, so our perspective is skewed, but it wasn't too bad. The front desk staff was so-so, the room was clean, but small, as... more

Run, don't walk from this place. We were given a key to a room with trash and an unmade bed. They did change our room, but at the desk was a line of guests with rooms that were not ready. As late as 6:30pm I heard people being turned away because they had no rooms ready. The hallways were hot... more
