Was originally planning to stay two nights, 8/17 and 8/18, however we decided to cancel the 2nd night by 9PM on the 17th...We wanted to check into the place when we got to Baker around 1PM but no one was at the Inn, (and I mean no one)...We went across the street to have lunch, then we drove into Great... I made reservations several months prior to my visit after reading positive reviews on tripadvisor. A few weeks prior to my stay, the reviews were not so positive. I was becoming a bit nervous about our stay. One must remember this place is in the middle of nowhere with limited services, but prime location for visiting Great Basin National Park.... More

My wife and I stayed in room #1. It was clean, quiet and more than adequate for our visit to Great Basin National Park. It was convenient to be able to have the café a short 10 yard walk from our room. The management was polite and helpful. Any activities mentioned in this review are related to the national park.... I made a reservation online for a room at this hotel. I was required to pay for the first night at the time of the reservation. Less than a week before we were supposed to stay there, Terry sent out an email saying all reservations were canceled for that night (july 17). He stated in the email that we would... More

We stayed in room #3, which was advertised as having a refrigerator but there wasn't one to be found. The towels had holes in them and were beginning to fray. There was a small tv in the side bedroom (not the main room) which would only play dvd's, no cable or satellite. Not sure why you would bother having a... More

The town of Baker has very few options for motel rooms. The Silver Jack is about the only game in town...We'd never stay there again...in fact, camping would be a much better option. The room was called an 'efficiency' but there was only 1 mug, 1 large plate, and a few small ones plus inadequate silverware, etc. and no table... More

We stayed at the end of June, 2015; unfortunately for two nights. The daytime ambient temperature topped out at 103º F. The guest could not control the A/C which serviced all four units; it barely made a difference between inside and out. Fortunately the high desert nights were cool. There was no hot water to the shower (no tub). We... More

Well, when one is driving across the desert, options are limited, right? We should have read the reviews! HOLY COW. The room was stifling hot, the AC barely worked (and appeared it hadn't been replaced since the early 70s), the bathroom was literally falling apart. If you can find another place in this very tiny town, stay there.

One of three rooms in a wrecked trailer between garbage and dog-kennel. No space, no furniture than an old bed, a disgusting bathtub, no switch for the ac and a tv without antenna. Bugs in and around the room, asking for another room was answered with "the others are the same way..." - too late in the evening to leave.

This place was a dump. The room (#3) stated it had a refrigerator, it didn't, however there were lots of bugs and it was incredibly hot. TV had no cable so no stations came in. Beds were old & very uncomfortable. The office/cafe was closed for several hours each day. The cafe wasn't open at all on Mon & Tues.... More
