Broken window in bathroom, check. Mold in shower, check. Sheets that might have been changed as recently as two weeks ago, check. Bedspread last laundered during the Carter administration, check. Carpet that dirties white-socked feet after two or three steps, check. Innkeeper who tries to charge $10 more per night than the rate quoted two hours before on the phone,... More

I have been here 4 times. I like this area and I like the Silver Jack. You can get good food here. Rooms are rural/remote Nevada typical. Clean & Simple. Always get a good nights sleep here. Good jumping off place for Utah, Wheeler Peak, Lehman Caves.

We stayed in Room #6, which is the middle unit of a 3 room converted Trailer (a mobile home partitioned into 3 rooms). This is located behind the main hotel along a gravel road, so you will hear cars driving down this road. It had twin beds, there were clean towels, but there was no heat. Just to be clear,... More

We stayed for one night, after visiting Great Basin national park. While the rooms were "dated" and small, and few amenities, we had such a good time. We sat out and had a beer while playing cards, then at the Electrolux cafe, we had one of the best meals I've had in a long time! and an excellent bottle of... More

My husband & I stayed for 2 nights in one of the Silver Jack Inn's 3 rooms that are just down the street from the main Inn & Restaurant. This is a very remote & tiny town and if you don't want to camp, this place is your best bet ! It is no frills but comfortable. Great Basin Natl... More

All we did was stop by Tuesday morning to see if they served breakfast and was faced with a person that was a stark contrast to the warm decor of the cafe. If you are looking for a good meal I cannot attest to it as we were rudely told that breakfast is not served on Mondays and Tuesdays (FYI).... More

This was by far the worst breakfast experience. Service was slow. And the breakfast sandwich had rotten avocado in it. When pointed out, we were told that avocados costs $2 per piece and that it is fresh, even though it looked disgustingly rotten. Don't go here. Glad I didn't pick this place to stay.

Was originally planning to stay two nights, 8/17 and 8/18, however we decided to cancel the 2nd night by 9PM on the 17th...We wanted to check into the place when we got to Baker around 1PM but no one was at the Inn, (and I mean no one)...We went across the street to have lunch, then we drove into Great... I made reservations several months prior to my visit after reading positive reviews on tripadvisor. A few weeks prior to my stay, the reviews were not so positive. I was becoming a bit nervous about our stay. One must remember this place is in the middle of nowhere with limited services, but prime location for visiting Great Basin National Park.... More
