Silver Jack offers a nice, clean room. It's quiet because it has to be since there's no one else around. The outside might have you shaking your head and wondering what you are doing but it's a fine night's rest. The managers are great at making you feel welcome and doing whatever you need to be comfortable.

We chose to stay in Baker because we were headed east, and we wanted to see the night sky at Great Basin National Park. We were ready to rough it at this place, but it was beyond bad. The reservations are made to an absentee owner on a poorly designed website. The place was run by a couple he hired.... More

We spent two enjoyable nights at this inn adjacent to Great Basin National Park. The rooms are small, but well maintained and Josh and Wendy-Lynn are friendly and gracious. The hamlet of Baker is picturesque and laid back. It is a great find in a remote area off of the loneliest road in America (Hwy. 50).

Walked in to the LectroLux Cafe on a Tuesday night and was blown away by how lively, vibrant and fantastically welcoming the place was. Had been camping with my boyfriend at Great Basin National Park and decided to check out Baker, NV, which is comprised of a few buildings and a post office; the LectroLux was the only thing happening.... We reserved a room online at the Silver Jack Inn for our, much anticipated, maiden trip to Great Basin Natl. Park. After reading more on the creative website, we added a third night to our 2 night reservation. We could not have made a better decision. We opted for an "Efficiency Room" which included a fridge, microwave, full size coffemaker,... More

I'm not sure what the people who wrote the negative reviews were expecting. This is a small locally owned and run motel. The rooms are small but they are perfect for a couple of tired travelers who spent the last 3 days exploring Great Basin National park and all of its wonders. The couple that run the motel and the... This motel is not for those expecting the Ritz, however, we were pleasantly surprised by what we found! The rooms were clean even if they were a bit outdated. The food at the Lectrolux Cafe was reasonably priced and they had a great selection of wine, beer, and liquor. Josh and Wendy-Lynn, the current care takers, were wonderful! They were... More
