The friendliness of the staff was the best part of the stay. Second was the fact that you can turn off the light outside your room so it doesn't shine in through the curtains. The room was pitch black and silent, qualities I almost never get at a motel. There was even a nice collection of local brochures. The room... More

This hotel by no means is what most would rate a 4 but considering it is near Great Basin National Park and the hotel room was spotless then I think it deserves a Very Good. The hotel part is in Utah and the casino part is in Nevada so you have a few slots you can play. Kinda the best... More

this is the kind of place you see in the old westerns, complete with tumbleweed rolling around the parking lot. I half expected Wyatt Erp or Clint Eastwood to saunter in on his horse. The place is adequate in every way for the fact that it is where it is. The price is extremely low by city standards. If you... More

One of few choices around Great Basin but this served us well. The room was adequate although lacked a coffee pot. We were facing the road and the room was rather bright from the large signs and gas pumps. The service and food at the restaurant where we had both dinner and breakfast was excellent.

The Border Inn is right on the border and about 15 minutes out of the town, all by itself. It is about half an hour from the great basin national park. The rooms were more prefab portables, rather than a proper structure. Still spacious and clean, with refrig and tv. Breakfast was not included but the restaurant behind the casino... More

It took some time before I knew how to describe our stay in the The Border Inn. It is a strange mix of impressions. What you can read in other reviews is that the options are limited here. On the good side is the very helpfull staff and a good restaurant (dinner and breakfast). Our room - double bed- was... More

The mattresses in our room were so old and soft that none of us could sleep. Our backs were sore the next day. The room was clean and very quiet but looked like a 1950s motel with dark paneling everywhere. However there aren't many choices in this area and the price was low. The restaurant was fine for dinner and... More

My husband and I just stated here over the weekend. Out of all the middle of nowhere places we've stayed this was most certainly the best. Coming from Vegas, most proprietors in Utah are NOT welcoming. And considering they rely on tourists that had always surprised me. The food was decent, the service was spectacular. Rooms were average. The mini... More

First, booked a room with two beds, got one. Took a long time just getting into the room (what there was of it), for the lock really was a son of a gun. Tv did not work. Internet did not work. Even moved to another room. Tv was better, but the mini fridge would not cool anything. These rooms are... More

Only one queen (as specified) but it was only fair. Dipped in middle. Not soft on top. Had a heater ( it was needed) but it was tricky to control. Room 10 faces the road and there was a bright light out there. So the room was not dark. The room had a VCR but I didn't have any tapes...
