It took some time before I knew how to describe our stay in the The Border Inn. It is a strange mix of impressions. What you can read in other reviews is that the options are limited here. On the good side is the very helpfull staff and a good restaurant (dinner and breakfast). Our room - double bed- was... More

The mattresses in our room were so old and soft that none of us could sleep. Our backs were sore the next day. The room was clean and very quiet but looked like a 1950s motel with dark paneling everywhere. However there aren't many choices in this area and the price was low. The restaurant was fine for dinner and... More

My husband and I just stated here over the weekend. Out of all the middle of nowhere places we've stayed this was most certainly the best. Coming from Vegas, most proprietors in Utah are NOT welcoming. And considering they rely on tourists that had always surprised me. The food was decent, the service was spectacular. Rooms were average. The mini... More

First, booked a room with two beds, got one. Took a long time just getting into the room (what there was of it), for the lock really was a son of a gun. Tv did not work. Internet did not work. Even moved to another room. Tv was better, but the mini fridge would not cool anything. These rooms are... More

Only one queen (as specified) but it was only fair. Dipped in middle. Not soft on top. Had a heater ( it was needed) but it was tricky to control. Room 10 faces the road and there was a bright light out there. So the room was not dark. The room had a VCR but I didn't have any tapes...

This is a very welcoming and friendly place to eat and stay. There was even a corral for our mules. The food was plentiful and good. The entire place is very clean. We felt very relaxed. No cold shower here. Located very close to Great Basin National Park and Mt. Moriah Wilderness for any outdoor pursuit. Great stars. Thank you... More

This is a very basic motel--but good value for money. My wife and I were visiting Great Basin National Park, and this was only 10 miles from the park entrance. The room was bare bones, and there was no shampoo. However, the staff were very friendly. This is OK for a one-night stay.

2 night stay to visit the Great Basin NP, 11 miles away. After a long drive from Lake Tahoe along highway 50 we received a warm welcome and settled into a clean, comfortable adequate room of good proportion. Breakfast was good although diner menu for other meals was restrictive. This was expected and so did not spoil our stay. Weather... More

A Hot hamburger is an item found in a diner in the East.. If you never had one, this is the place to try one, best I've had since leaving Pennsylvania 52 years ago.. We have not stayed here, as we camp at the Great Basin NP, and eat here at times, but this Winter I'm itchin for a HH... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a road trip to visit Great basin NP. The staff were friendly and the diner offered good honest food. Remember it's a Diner, not fine dining. The room was ok but could have felt and looked fresher than it did. For a place in the middle of nowhere that we were... More
