This was a pretty typical 1950s style motel. It was very clean and quiet. The rooms were nice and the price was good. We only stayed one night on a long road trip, but I would stay there again if passing through Deer Lodge, MT.

We stayed four nights in the Western Big Sky Inn. We found the room to be larger than normal. Very clean. The room did not smell like cigarette smoke. The management was very friendly. The maid was also very friendly. The parking lot can get a little tight in the evening, but for us that was not an issue. The... More

Nice staff, decent wifi, AAA/CAA discount, outside access with plenty of chairs and tables for relaxing outside. Grocery store across the street. Reasonable rates. Quiet downtown Deer Lodge. Highly recommended when you just have to stop driving.

On 7/13 our family stayed in 2 rooms here, based on a friend's rec and reviews on Google (wasn't listed on TA yet). I was skeptical because hotel was old, but there's not much to pick from in Deer Lodge, MT - we were passing through on a long road trip. What a pleasant surprise to find this little gem... More

After a long day on the road it was great to find this place. Larry and Lisa were welcoming and accommodating. My room was comfortable, well equipped and squeaky clean. The location allows you to easily walk all of downtown Deer Lodge, and the rates were really reasonable. Will recommend the Western Big Sky to my friends, and I will... More

Older building but nice clean rooms and such a friendly staff! I would definitely recommend this hotel! Family ran and you can tell...customer service was above and beyond! Great town for Montana history.

Clean rooms, little joist creak. Great staff. close to supermarket and has a grill! Continental breakfast includes bagels, cream cheese, pastries, and hard boiled eggs and lots of other stuff. Best place to stay in town.

This is one of those places. We came in at about 10 pm after a very long drive. Not going to lie we sat in the parking lot debating to even go up to the door. Very skeptical, but we where very tired. We decided to atleast look at one of the rooms. The manager was very happy to show... More

We never make reservations and just look for a motel when we get to where we want to spend the night. We happened upon the Western Big Sky in Deer Lodge, Montana, and it was one of the best stops in our month-long trip. The room was large, very clean, very comfortable, and had all the amenities you would expect... More

Great place and very clean with food close by. Maw and Paw style with good location. Manager acted like she didn't care if we stayed there or not. Will reconsider next time. Price was great and probably the best motel in town.
