We happened to find Harbor Inn on the internet, we were doing the circle Superior trip. The rooms are very nice, recently remodeled and very clean. We had a lakeside room, and from our balcony we could watch the harbor and all of the activity on the main street. Everything is within walking distance. The woman who is the owner... more
I have not stayed at the hotel. It could be very nice. Twice I've had poor service at the restaurant however. Generally crabby servers who seemed irritated by customers' questions. more
I have stayed here three times now and would definitely stay again. This isn't a fancy place, but I think it's great value for the location. If you are looking for a cozy no frills hotel with a great location for walking to most everything in Grand Marais then this is the hotel for you. The owners are very nice and there is also a good restaurant in the hotel called the Wild Onion where we had a great breakfast! more
