I stayed here after I was able to be transferred from the Aspen Inn thinking that with the price this would be a great hotel I was wrong. The hotel is stuck in the 70s and there are no good views of the lake. The only decent thing about the hotel is the location. Stay at the Best Western for... More

Stayed here as part of a 3 night/3 day ski package at nearby Lutsen Mountains. City of Grand Marais/hotel are about 25 minutes from ski area, but value and amenities were well worth the extra drive. Indoor pool, whirpool and sauna were wonderful after a full day's skiing in sub-zero temps. Room was very comfortable size for an adult and... More

Stayed here for just a night in Nov. Was one of the new affordable options in the area, an an indoor pool was a bonus for the kids. The continental breakfast was just fine, and the free wifi was a must--cell service up there is sketchy, and wanted to stream a movie after the kids went to bed! Not sure... More

This hotel is very clean and has wonderful people running it. The only fault I could find is that the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, very thin and hard....definitely in need of replacement. We appreciated the enormous room size and the awesome view of the lake.

This is a really nice place to stay. The only complaint I have is that they rip you off if you book on-line. A few years ago we booked a room on-line, and as we were checking in, the clerk who was checking us in got a phone call & quoted a price for a room for that same night... More

Husband and I checked in after first asking at neighboring Best Western. (BW wanted $200 on a Sunday night) The girl at the desk was very nice. She offered me a king with jacuzzi for $119 or a double at $89. I took the King room. Loved the view and the spacious room. Room was really clean except for the... More

Plan busy weekend stays ahead of time or you may end up staying here like we did. On a Saturday night we paid $150/night. As you drive up, the sign states "From $89/night". It really is an "$89" or less property. The front desk staff is excellent- very friendly and full of knowledge. The room needs much help and a... More

The cost of this hotel for what you get is obnoxious. There was hair on the floor behind the toilet, a large amt of it. Went to take a shower and there was loose hair in the shower. The breakfast is limited, they were out of coffee, and no coffee pots in room. Our second day we were gone exploring... More

We stayed at this establishment for one night. If you have to have a pool and hot tub then stay here. If not find somewhere else because that is what you must be paying for. For 129.00 +tax you can have worn carpet, hard beds, and flat pillows. I would have also expected a few more in room amenities. There... More

Loved the service at the front desk, but the rooms are beginning to show their age. It was clean, and quiet (on the lake side), but no real view of the lake from the 2nd floor. Thought it was a bit pricey, but then we were 'caught' without reservations on the long weekend. Thankfully they had some fresh apples at... More
