Location and service was great, but rooms are quite dated back to the 1970s feel and are quite expensive. Rooms are clean and the view is great. More

The good: comfy bed, great location. The bad: worn, dirty rug, stopped up sink, no bed lamp, cramped bathroom, no elevator. The ugly: peeling wallpaper,rusty heater in bathroom and rusty door hinges, bird droppings on patio furniture, neglected plantings. More

The Shoreline's setting in the center of Grand Marais, right on Lake Superior, makes it my favorite place to stay in Grand Marais.
