Just got back home after a three night stay with the family! I have to say, if there was one word I would use to describe our experience, it would be COMFORTABLE. Everything is easy, non-rushed, and very relaxing. The cabin was well equipped, the floors shining, and the beds as comfy as they get. Our hosts this weekend, owners... More

We stayed in the Jack Pine cabin and it was great! Newly remodeled and very nice! Rose and John are delightful hosts. John made breakfast to order each day and it was delicious! The grounds are very well kept. There are canoes and kayaks to use and fishing boats and a pontoon to rent. Plenty of hiking trails nearby. The... More

This was our first visit to Cross River Lodge and we were pleasantly surprised, although having spoken to Rose on the phone I expected she and John to be incredibly nice people. Well Rose and John were wonderful hosts, and they were fun people. We stayed at the newly updated Sun and Snow Cabin which had wonderful views. It was... More

This is by far the best lodge we have been to - and we have been to many. It is a slice if heaven in the Northwoods of Minnesota. This is a place where you go for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. The scenery is breathtaking, the fishing is amazing, the lodge is beautiful, everything is quiet and serene. The owners... More

Just can't get enough of visiting "Paradise on Earth." This is our 14th summer of visiting this beautiful resort. Each year is better than the last (if that is possible?). This is BY FAR the greatest resort on the G-Trail. Unsurpassed in beauty, accommodations and hosts - who could ask for more...? Each guest is treated to the most fabulous... More

We just finished our 3rd vacation at Cross River Lodge, and have already booked for next year. We've made this a destination for an annual family reunion and are already counting down the days until next summer's trip. John and Rose are the ultimate hosts, they have a wonderful way of making everyone feel welcome.

The only way to make a sad drive back home from a week at Cross River Lodge a little more tolerable is to share with everyone about how wonderful our stay was yet again. This was our second year with John and Rose at Cross River and we booked for next year before leaving. I have been coming to the... More

My husband and I have never experienced the Boundary Waters area in Minnesota and wanted to be in the center of it all, this was the perfect place. We were in the midst of all the best trails, the beauty and the best spot to hear the loons and catch a possible glimpse of a moose. We stayed in the... More

My husband and I have stayed at many different cabins at resorts or lodges in northern Minnesota. Cross River Lodge tops all of them by far, for many reasons. The beautiful cabin was top notch in all categories. The complete attention to detail is very evident the second you step through the front door. The cabin was extremely clean, and... More
