This was our first trip to the north shore and we had a blast. We had the Romantic getaway package, which includes all activities and meals, so it felt a little like a very high-end summer camp experience. Beautiful cabin right on the lake, looking across the water to Canada. Great meals with beautiful views, the sound of loons at... More

My husband and I visit Gunflint Lodge at least once a year. We absolutely love our stay each time. There is always something fun to do from hiking, cross country skiing, to fishing. Each morning it is a must to enjoy the breakfast in the bistro. We love the nature center activities led by Naturalist John. The cabins are always... More

We've been going to the Gunflint Lodge for several years just for their Sunday evening barbecues during the summer. They are terrific! This year, we decided to stay a few days during our annual trip to the North Shore. It was lovely, peaceful and calm, just as we had hoped. We stayed in one of their Romantic Cottages. They are... As first time visitors at Gunflint Lodge, we were hopeful that we would have a good time. We were not disappointed. Beautiful trip to the lodge along lupine strewn scenic highways, followed by a warm and efficient welcome by staff. Clean, rustic classic cabin with a comfortable bed and warm shower. Please take note, wood is located behind the cabin... More

We (all 7 of us - plus 2 dogs) visited Gunflint Lodge last week for the first time ever. We had an absolutely wonderful time! I can't say enough great things about Gunflint Lodge. Our cabin was clean and big enough for our group (including a sauna and TWO bathrooms), the kitchen was fully equipped, and we used the fireplace... More

We reserved a cabin for our anniversary. A couple days after we booked the cabin our plans changed and we had to change the date and they accommodated our change perfectly. We took advantage of the canopy tours, boating and fishing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and when we made last minute changes they made it easy for... More

We received a crowd cut coupon last fall as a gift for 2 nights @ Gunflint Lodge, however the availability didn't line up with our schedule. We tucked the coupon away and were able to use the face value (now worth less than the cost of 1 night) towards a package. We stayed for 4 nights and had a blast.... More

We are typically hotel goers, but were attracted to the numerous naturalist activities and availability of the canoes and kayaks at anytime so we decided to try a Canoer Cabin since it was so much less than the other cabins. It was just built in 2012 and still had that "fresh wood" smell. Very clean, beds were great, got several... More

We arrived in the evening and after dodging road work which no-one has any control over, checked into our cottage. It was smaller than we expected, but that was fine. What puzzled us was that the light was on and the doors unlocked, but whatever. We settled in and were disappointed to find that despite the DVD player and CD... More

We feel very badly that these guests had a bad experience with us, and we are sorry to have disappointed them. Responding to their concerns: They did not give us a chance to solve any of their problems, or to upgrade them to something more to their liking. When guests arrive late, after we close, we always leave the light... More
