We called Growley Bear and made a reservation which was confirmed at the time of the call. We then called back the next day just to double check because we knew that most places in Gustavus had booked up. We stayed two nights at the Growley Bear during an August 2005 visit to Gustavus Alaska. The Growley Bear, which feels more like a lodge than a bed and breakfast, was roomy and comfortable.
