Jan and Ella were outstanding hosts. The people we met while there three nights were very interesting travelers. The food and room superb. We also did the whale watch and kayaking that Jan provided to us at a very reasonable rate. I highly recommend you do both. They took care of all of our transportation needs, including finding a prop... More

Our two nights with Janusz and Ella was like staying with good friends. They both were as friendly and helpful as can be. After they picked us up at the airport we arrived at their B&B and were introduced to the six other guests. Shortly thereafter we enjoyed an expertly prepared fresh fish dinner. The following morning they prepared a... More

The Wild Alaska Inn was a wonderful headquarters for a visit to Glacier Bay and Gustavus. As well stated by olliesam, Gustavus is a tiny town (500 residents) on the 5-mile road between the ferry dock and Glacier Bay National Park. Janusz and Ella were gracious and wonderful hosts. They booked our Glacier Bay tour on the national park boat,... More

Gustavus is a tiny, not easily accessed town, so we were not looking for, nor expecting, luxury and innumerable amenities in our lodging experience. Wild Alaska Inn is just what you'd expect: a comfortable, friendly B & B in a remote, wilderness town. We were met at the ferry terminal by both Jan and Ella ( I'm not sure how... More

Gustavus is somewhat off the beaten track, but you wouldn't know it if you stay at The Wild Alaska Inn. The place is great, and Ela and Janusz are terrific hosts. We were here for 3 nights in the room with a queen bed and private bath (the only room with a private bath). The meals were wonderful. For breakfast,... More

We stayed here for a night. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were met after disembarking from ferry and driven to B&B by family. Clean room and shared bathroom. Great selection at breakfast. Free wifi. We were given bikes to use while at B&B. after our visit, we were picked up at Glacier Bay Lodge and driven to airport.

Janusz and Ela were very welcoming and accommodating! The place is very clean and well cared for. The breakfast they served was fantastic (including spruce tip syrup for the pancakes). The bikes they had available were very helpful and fun too! We definitely had a wonderful experience staying here!

We were met at the airport by our hosts and taken to Wild Alaska Inn for the start of a most memorable stay. Our rooms were spacious and very clean and comfortable. In the upstairs room we shared a large spotless bathroom which was just a few steps from our door. Jonash and Ella were very accommodating hosts who would... More

My husband and I stayed at Wild Alaska in June and we loved it. Jonash and Ella were wonderful hosts, treated us like family, and shared their experiences of living in Alaska, and in Gustavus in particular. We went to Glacier Bay, borrowed bikes to explore Gustavus, and chatted with the other guests, all of whom were interesting. Our room... More

We spent a few days kayaking Glacier Bay this summer and flew in from Europe. Needless to say, we were a bit ill-equipped. We had been in touch with Ella, who had told us that airport pickup, transportation to the NP orientation, kayak rental, even organizing boots in our sizes wouldn't be a problem. It all sounded a bit too... More
