This could really be called Homestead Bed, Breakfast and Bicycle. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was fabulous every morning, and the bicycles were a great way to explore the community. Sally was very welcoming--filled us in on the family history and made us feel very comfortable. The nearby Fireweed Gallery and Coffee shop were easy to get to, as was the... More

Sally could not have been more welcoming, the beds more comfortable nor the breakfasts more delicious! We made full use of the bikes Sally provided, took the day trip up Glacier Bay seeing wonderful wildlife. The highlight was, without a doubt, kayaking with the humpback whales, we didn't get very close but they were non the less a fantastic spectacle... More

After winning a gift certificate from a fundraising auction, we decided to make the short trip to Gustavus from Juneau and stay at the Homestead Bed & Breakfast. Upon our available, Sally, the owner, had arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport, met us at the front door of the B&B as we arrived, and gave... More

We decided to take our bikes on the ferry to Gustavus and stay at the beautiful Homestead Bed and Breakfast. This was an unexpected delight. It you like to eat healthy, this is the place to go. Sal, the owner, cooked the most amazing gourmet, organic breakfasts. Everything was from her garden and their were fresh eggs from her free-range... More

We had a wonderful experience with Sally! After kayaking and bicycling with her bikes we were exhausted and loved the comfortable rooms. Then to wake up to the best meal we had in Alaska! The breakfast was homemade and homegrown and prepared with care. Sally made us feel right at home....with her grandson and animals...we loved it!

We group of (4) stayed with Sally & Tom for 3 nights in early July 2012. Sally was a great host. It was one of the most comfortable, hospitable B+B stays that we have had. The breakfasts were excellent with home sourced eggs, jams, homemade bread, muffins, etc. We had an excellent time. We did Glacier Bay NP day cruise... More

Visited Glacier Bay on my own one year, and stayed at Homestead. It was great, Tom and Sally gave me excellent advice and it was so comfortable that I came back to Glacier another year with my wife, and again had an excellent time. It is possible to use one of their bikes to Glacier Bay (a few miles), and... More

I loved the bikes, thank you so much for lending them to us, I want a bike just like yours now. Close by was the pizza restaurant with the locals, the art gallery, the quaint little liquor... More

Tom & Sally are fantastic hosts and have a wonderful, homey and very comfortable B&B. Breakfast includes fresh goodies from the chicken coop or garden and the BEST coffee ever! Long-time residents, they can give great advice on where to go, what to do, and what not to miss. I love my stays and will return again and again. Kaye... More
