We weren't sure what to expect when we drove into the parking lot - lots of people & different places to stay - but this place was great! You walked into your room which had picture windows facing Lake McDonald & fell in love with the place. Sit out on your back porch & enjoy the view, swim, canoe -... More

We enjoyed our 3 days & 2 nights here. Our room was right on the water which was delightful mornings & evenings ! Our room and bathroom were both small (in terms of spaciousness), but we managed. We ate at Eddie's (within walking distance) which had slow service but decent portions & reasonable prices (for within a National Park). If... More

You read that right. Yes, the views are fantastic from all 36 units in this vintage motel. But now you can put aside all hesitation re: reviews mentioning tired decor! Fantastic surprise: The welcome info in the room said that all units have been refurbished this spring. Our kitchenette unit had new counters, new tiny dishwasher, new cookware, and throwback... We spent three nights at the Village Inn At Apgar on a recent trip to Glacier National Park. Every unit has an awesome waterfront view of Lake McDonald and the mountains. Sitting facing that view every morning and evening was a great way to start and end our days at the park. The beds were comfy, the units were spotless,... More

All of the units face the beautiful Lake McDonald. You are literally steps away from the shore. This is a perfect place for little kids because it is very shallow by the motel. The unit has a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator. It is not well equipped so if you want to cook bring a few of your... More

When we pulled up to the Village Inn at Apgar, we could not believe our good luck in finding this place with such an amazing view! At that point we didn't even care what the room looked like, we were just so awestruck by Lake McDonald and how close the Inn was to the water. We stayed in the upstairs... More

We arrived early and the room was ready. When we walked in the rear door there was a view of the lake that was pure beauty. The room was clean and there was a full kitchen. Would recommend this hotel in our favorite national park

Our first trip to Glacier National Park ever. First of June now and very warm. This little inn is very charming and quaint. The rooms are recently updated and clean. The view is spectacular from every room. Lake McDonald is gorgeous. Our only complaints were the room keys list their charge every day including a night at 1130 pm. The... More

Got in reservations here pretty late in the process ( guess we got lucky ) The view from our room was outstanding. Words fall short in able to describe the view . The rooms are nice and comfortable. The ability to connect to wifi also helps if needed - though once you visit this place you don't really feel like... More

We made reservations in January for the end of August, and only a two room was left, so we rented it, not expecting much in the way of the hotel. The hotel was built in 1956, I believe, and other than a microwave, nut much has been done since then. There was a stove, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The kitchen... More
