I can echo all comments positive. A little tap room not part of the business also next door. I had will warn you the railroad is VERY active at night and does some stopping on. The long freight trains. This can be very noisy, especially with the windows open. Set you expections, you are in the wilderness along a very... More

I needed a place to stay in West Glacier under last-minute circumstances, and Glacier Highland Resort was clean, comfortable enough, and staffed by friendly folks. It was just what it needed to be, and nothing more. There are no frills here - no coffee pots or fridges in the room, A/C in only select rooms, and furnishings/finishes that are far... More

Quaint small motel/hotel. Friendly staff and attached restaurant. Not expensive and not a chain but a good place to stay to interact get into Glacier park. Rooms have wooden paneling and old school bathrooms with medicine cabinets. Air conditioning were box fans! (it's not very hot anyway--no need for AC in this part of Montana) -- my group and I... We stayed only one night here. It was the height of the tourist season and all motels were full. The room was large and seemed clean. The tv didn't work and there was no refrigerator or microwave. There was a train track right across the street. However, it served the purpose. Parking was a little hinky. Won't give this place... More

Don't be fooled by the mixed reviews, this place is solid. We got a great night's sleep right in West Glacier. All of our interactions with staff - front desk, housekeeping - were excellent. These folks are nice, thoughtful and doing a great job. And, don't miss the food in the associated restaurant. Delicious all day long.

A real misnomer to call this place a resort. It has a basic room with no coffee, tv, ac, microwave or frig. Train noise woke us up several times during the night. The place is way over priced for what you get, even in a place with such a short season.

Management response:

I am sorry that you were so unhappy with your stay at our motel. We do have tvs with dish satellite channels. We do not have microwaves, refrigerators or coffee pots. However, we do have a gift store and restaurant next door that does have coffee, etc. Some of our guests do have problems with the trains. Other people love... More

We had a great time in a quiet hillside location that was away from crowds but near Glacier entrance. Room was clean, TV worked, plenty of everything for a reasonable price. Trains run through W. GLACIER ON a regular basis but we like the hum of the tracks. There's a store, restaurant and gas station so we tanked up, stocked... More

This "resort" offers nothing but a bed, shower and toilet (sink also), NOTHING ELSE, no phone, no radio, no clock and one mirror and chair and not even a grab bar in the shower. When we walked into the room we had to kill approximately 20 mosquitoes. At 135.00 a night plus tax it's not worth it. As the review... More

I'm sorry the motel didn't meet your expectations. I remember meeting the two of you in the restaurant and was unaware of your grave disappointment. The room you were in was recently renovated. New carpet, beds, bathroom etc. We are limited to the space given by the structure of the building. As noted, there are no radios, as in our... More

This lodge is in an excellent location- right outside West entrance to Glacier National Park. It has a companion restaurant next door in the gas station/general store which is outstanding! Fantastic huckleberry pies, huckleberry pancakes, terrific dinners and great beer selections! Yes, even huckleberry beer! It is fine! The hotel is okay. Not worth the price charged. Bathroom was small,... More

Good size cabins with minimum facilities/luxuries. No Wifi. No Breakfast. Restaurant next door. Lovely warm room on arrival (snow that morning). Expect some noise from the locos that pass nearby. Convenient for the Glacier Park West Entrance
