We wanted to stay close to the Apgar Visitors Center for the Astronomy program and found the Apgar Village Lodge, which was a gem on the west side of Glacier National Park. The person who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful. Our rooms were small but they were clean and comfortable. The price was also very reasonable for... More

The lodge is located in Glacier National Park, near Lake McDonnell. It is not to be confused with the Apgar Village Inn which is run through the Park Service concessionaire,it is directly on Lake McDonnell. At check in, the lady at the front desk was not very friendly, so our stay didn’t start off on the best foot. The property... More

We stayed here one night, basically so we didn't have to drive back to Whitefish where we had stayed the night before. You are in the park right by Lake McDonald. The views are breathtaking, you just have to walk about 500 feet to get to the lake. The room is tiny, dated. The bathroom is very small. We had... More

We booked our final 2 nights of our 6 night Glacier trip at Apgar, they only had one of the larger cabins available at booking. We arrived late afternoon /evening and a very nice lady checked us in and gave us a map of the property. The Apgar area has Eddie's which is a restaurant, ice cream shop and a... More

Hi Jade M, We are so pleased to hear about your positive experience with us earlier this month! When you return to the park, drive up the Going to the Sun Road at sunset and you’ll be able to see the Milky Way and stars better than ever once it gets dark! It really is an incredible place! We look... More

It was our first time to GNP, but luckily my brother had been there and recommended we stay at Apgar. It was perfect, we liked that it was a little centre for our 3 night stay. We had the end motel room at the river edge, with a big window to look out to it. It was tiny, as reported,... More

Stayed one night. Room was small, but worked for what we needed. It was also very dated, but clean. The view of Lake McDonald was breathtaking, as we were right on the lake. Staff was very friendly and accomadating when we decided to cut our stay short, they had no problem with that. I would probably stay here again, just... More

The location is wonderful and the staff was helpful and professional. Family cabin was clean and comfortable. Close to West Glacier and the Park, great location. Again, great staff. Clean and comfortable but small bathroom.

This was our third trip to the spectacular Glacier National Park. The last time we stayed outside of the park, but had to drive 15 or so minutes each way just to get there. So, this time we opted to stay in the park and chose Apgar Village Lodge. We selected a room as opposed to a cabin. The best... More

The location is excellent, just by Lake McDonald south beach, close to the West Glacier park entrance, close to shuttle stop, boat/canoe/bike rental. But there is nothing in the room other than bed(s), no coffee maker, no air conditioner, no microwave, of course no WiFi. Coffee and ice are provided in the Registry Office. The ladies work there were pretty... More
