Watch out! This report is about Apgar Village Lodge in Apgar not in West Glacier. If you travel like me without a car, it's important to be located in Apgar. Apgar is great for catching the free shuttle bus, sitting by Lake McDonald. I enjoyed my stay at the motel. The price was right and I had a small room... More

Very comfortable, friendly staff, nice surroundings. Every morning we woke up and strolled to Lake McDonald with a cup of coffee/tea in our hands to watch the mountains of Glacier National Park wake up. You couldn't ask for a better way to start the day. Rooms are small, not really made for tall people. Shower stall is very small as... More

I booked the smallest cabin without a kitchenette, knowing that we would not want to spend time buying groceries and preparing meals. The cabin we had (#53) was behind a row of other cabins, and sort of looked like an afterthought. We loved the cabin. The full size bed was SO comfortable... nice and clean bedding, good pillows. The cabin... More

This lodge has both cabins and motels. We stayed in the motel. Surprisingly, although the place is fairly remote, the motel room are quite good. It is very clean and even has two rooms and two beds, which makes it capable to accommodate up to 4 people! There is a great restaurant just by the motel. The only gotcha is... More

We had a small cabin at the back of the property, with a stunning view through the window of the river that feeds into the lake. It was quiet and clean. Everything was small and old-fashioned, which felt cozy to my husband and me. The staff at the office was friendly and helpful, as were other guests. One couple shared... More

This was our second visit to Glacier National Park, the first time we simply drove through without much time. This time we got to stay in the park and take more time. Apgar Village was wonderful. We stayed in the old motel part, not a cabin. The room was old but VERY clean, the sheets were awesome :-). The bathroom... More

Vacation stay for only a weekend and booked well in advance. Our cabin was more than adequate for our needs and was comfortable given the short stay. Found the unit clean and stocked for two persons; coffee maker, toaster, stove, and fridge. Maybe an extra place setting would have been helpful but everything was there including the can opener and... More

I've been going here many years and will keep coming back. Remember this a a rustic cabin so don't expect a phone, TV, or internet but that's why this place is so great. The place is clean and located near a beautiful lake. There is a restaurant near by but you can also cook in many of the cabins. A... More

We stayed here four nights. Because we did not have reservations we moved around a bit. We stayed in the motel along the main road one night. It was very clean and well priced! We also stayed in cabin 45. It was quaint, clean and liked it. Two nights were were in a cabin on the creek. It was perfect!... More

We stayed in motel room 42. The room was small, however the view from the window of McDonald Creek is fabulous. My husband fished every night of our stay while I sat and read a book. The room was clean and neat. It was a quiet relaxing place to stay. Since there are no phones, televisions, or internet you can... More
