We stayed one night in the front motel which I was told was better than the back one. Supposedly the walls are thicker. Noise did carry, bathroom was very small, we had 2 double beds in 2 room which were tight but it was clean. However I chose expecting this because of the lower price and because I wanted to... More

We spent one night in a 2 queen cabin at the Apgar Village Lodge. This establishment is owned and run by Glacier Park Inc., not Xanterra which manages most of the lodgings in the park. There are some motel units and some cabins. The whole place is a genuine 1940’s era roadside accommodation. Go in knowing that and adjust your... More

If you are a seasoned national parks traveler you'll know what to expect. It's all about location, location, location, and Apgar Village is in a grand spot right on Lake McDonald. We spent three nights in early August 2015 in the motel accommodations along the creek. We had the end room so noise was not a problem. There is no... More

There are two kinds of accommodations here: cabins that have kitchens and a motel-like portion. We stayed in the latter and I was, at first, a bit appalled by the very small room, but, hey we came to see Glacier National Park, and in some odd way, rustic living is appropriate--rather like being a mountain man of centuries past. We... More

We recently had to cancel our cabin reservations less than 72hrs due to the terrible fire smokes and low visibility. We did stay one night and our cabin was cozy, super clean, and excellent. We really liked having a kitchenette is ours. I want to express our appreciation for their excellent customer service to fully refund us. We will definitely... More

We had three of the cabins; 8, 14, and 12. Overall our stay was very good. The cabins are what they purport. They are not fancy and the bathrooms are small. It is a lot of money for the "comfort" - although, truly we were obviously paying for the location, location, location. Super positives - the people who you work... More

We had a 2 bed room. It was very basic with oldish furnature and a fan. No mini/bar fridge or coffee/kettle. It seemed clean enough. Apgar village itself is small with 1 restaurant but nice for a night or 2 to chill out and do some hikes in the park.

We stayed in the motel portion. The room definitely had the feel of going up north. The room is really small, so is the bathroom. When I booked the room (through a reservation service) the agent said there were 2 rooms with a kitchenette. She clearly got it mixed up with the Village Inn at Apgar. We didn't need the... More

Rooms were clean and tidy, with perfect location in front of Lake McDonald. While prices were high, this was to be expected while staying in the park. Compared to other options outside the park, this was a clear bet.

We stayed in a motel room, not a cabin. It was sort of two rooms although there wasn't a door between the two, but a wall. Our stay was totally as expected. We've stayed in in-park hotel/motel/cabins in 6 national parks and this is as nice as any. Note, we have not stayed in the high end, resort-type in-park lodging,... More
