We had a room with a double bed + sink. As others have said, it's tiny, but a good value considering the cost of other lodging in the park. It was very clean and the renovations are quite nice. The communal shower stalls are ridiculously small for no reason. I'm a thin 6' tall, and could barely reach my lower... More

We stayed at Lake McDonald lodge cabins and had booked a year in advance. Our cabin was extremely small. The bathroom and shower were ridiculously small. The sink was in the sleeping area of the cabin and you could'nt fully open the bathroom door because of the sink. There were twin beds but with the room available, it was more... More

I spent 2 nights at Lake McDonald Lodge late August 2014. I was in the main lodge on the third floor. The room was small, sparse, but adequate. It was clean. There were no issues with the bathroom. I did not hear any noise from adjoining rooms. I had a lakeside room with a private balcony. It was small but... More

We visited the park in September and camped at Avalanche. Since we only camped two nights and flew in, we didn't bring cooking equipment or food. We had to rely on park restaurants while there. This place turned out to be our only option due to hours and offerings (we don't eat pizza). The food really wasn't bad at all,... More

This accommodation is a modernized employee dormitory. It enjoys a great setting along Snyder Creek, right across from the Main Lodge with picnic tables and chairs out front. It is only steps away from the Creekside Reading Room with its plush sofas and library-quiet ambiance, and the auditorium where nightly ranger shows are scheduled. (We attended for three nights; all... More

We stayed in a "family" cabin with two full size beds and one twin bed that was situated in front of the bathroom door. The cabin was outdated and crowded. Thank goodness the weather was nice and we did not need to be in the cabin. For a party of five, I would recommend finding other accommodations. Important to know...housekeeping... More

Cabins are a bit average - there is a consistent musty stale smell. The cabin I was in had 6 rooms and the noise from people entering was enough to wake me every time. The beds are very uncomfortable and sagging . The Lodge is full of character if you are not put off by dead animals. I found the... More

We stayed in a two room cabin for two nights - very basic and rather worn, but adequate and clean enough -- we knew what to expect from a National Park lodge. Good towels, beds were fine, soap and shampoo provided, and coffee maker with coffee and tea in the room. Nice to be close to lake, lake tours, and... More

This poor place deserves some desperate attention! From a distance you will feel wowed.... After the initial amor you quickly learn that no one really cares about anything. The building Is in desperate need of maintenance, to the point of safety to guests . We had a cabin room that looked clean but it wasn't , we wanted to change... More

We just stopped by the lodge on a tour, but enjoyed the lobby and lunch. There are so many interesting things to view in the lobby, one can spend an hour just looking. The food was excellent with reasonable pricing.
