You will love the log lobby and the fireplace as you enter. Fabulous view of the lake. Rooms are basic but in the theme of the location. Very fair pricing. Also the starting point for the red tour bus excursions. We had lunch there and the food was good and reasonably priced. I felt like I was in touch with... More

Dining room is very warm and comfortable vita view to boot! We just had burgers and we had the impression the server was mad at us for some reason. Burgers were excellent, nicely presented too. Would visit again.

We enjoyed a beautiful day at Glacier Park until check in at Lake McDonald lodge. The front desk staff were completely rude and arrogant. I am a 55 year old woman and I could not believe a staff member of such a historic hotel could be so rude and condescending not only at check in but throughout our stay. We... More

The room was fairly simple, but adequate. The bathroom was small, but it was clean and there was good hot water. The small hand basin was located in the bedroom. Polyester/cotton sheets on the bed. Breakfast was fairly plain, but acceptable.

This was the 2nd place of the 3 we stayed at while in Glacier. The cabin was quaint and right on the water. 2 double beds. Bathroom decently sized. pathway to the man lodge. Was a little hard to find it because the number was not on the road side. But we figured it out. Lake view was a little... More

Stayed here beginning (then went to Rising Sun) and end of trip. Booked cheapest room - in Snyder building with 2 bunk beds. Perhaps I didn't understand the details of the room when booking because this was the smallest room I'd ever been in. Bunk beds, a sink, small shelf, hooks, and no room to move around at all (barely... More

I would recommend this lodge if you like historic buildings and enjoy staying inside a national park. At sunset, the lighting is beautiful. The lakeside part of the hotel is charming with lots of potted flowers, pathways, and a variety of seating areas where you can read/enjoy a happy hour or just contemplate. The exterior areas of this lodge are... More

This historic facility has all the problems of an old hotel. The rooms are small, there is no elevator. The location is the attraction on Lake McDonald and the Going to the Sun Highway. The boat tours of the lake are just a few steps from the rear hotel deck. Sitting on that deck at evening is a great view... More

We spent one night here in between hiking to/from the two backcountry Chalets. The room was described as small, and boy was it ever. Two twin beds, a night stand and a desk. You couldn't use the desk, since the chair was pushed all the way in and still touched one bed. The shower was small, and definitely the curtain... More

We were in a cabin for 3 nights - liked it - we had 14-1, the last in the complex, so a lot of privacy, but next to a private residence. Had a "private" rocky beach and went out for sunrise, a few beers at sunset each night, plus able to walk out there before bed and stargaze with literally... More
