Some of the reviews complain about no internet, no tv, etc. Are you kidding me? This is a national park. If you come here, you should focus on the landscape. Many times over the past 45 years, we have stayed in the cabins here. They are very, very basic. But who spends time sitting in their cabin, when they can... More

Stayed at the Lodge 5 nights. I had a medical emergency the 2nd afternoon and couldn't have asked for better medical care. The lodge staff were very helpful in getting emergency personnel to the lodge and upon my return, which fortunately was the same day, were very caring and concerned about my health and comfort for the remainder of our... We stayed at the motor lodge section of the hotel. The parking is limited and there is not enough parking near the rooms. The rooms itself are shabby (very old beaten furniture) and not suitable for a comfortable stay. There is no electricity or heating in the bathroom, the toilet you can only use as a small person, if taller... More

Don't miss this historic century-old alpine lodge if you are in West Glacier. The public areas are spacious and charming. They feature a hunting lodge motif with a great deal of taxidermy and indoor balconies on three levels. A very good restaurant and cocktail lounge completes the outstanding floor plan. The grounds are spacious and extremely attractive and the historic... More

I stayed one night in the main lodge and one night in a cabin. First, his can be a hard place to get parking close by and that goes for both the lodge and cabins. For the main lodge, it is even harder to unload since the area is small and shared with the Red Bus Tours which are still... More

We stayed at the Lake McDonald Lodge last July; in the motor lodge section and were very happy with the cabin. The motor lodge is a little cheaper than the main lodge. It is pretty basic, but you are in a national park in a wonderful location, so it is definitely worth the money. Just a warning, the shower is... More

We have stopped or eaten here more times than we have stayed. But it is one of the old railroad hotels and on an amazing lake with an amazing view with amazing mountains. Just sitting on the porch is beyond compare. You better reserve far ahead of time. We like the main lodge just because it is so handy to... More

We stayed in a handicap cabin at Lake McDonald Lodge for one night in August. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The parking was very convenient to the room. The bathroom was large and worked well for my husband who uses a walker. There was no TV but the scenery was breathtaking and captivated us. We enjoyed three meals in the... More

We stayed in the lodge, which is lovely. There is a large room with a fireplace and lots of tables and cozy chairs, and nice little areas overlooking the main room from the balconies above. We had a room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the lake. It was a nice view; the room was teeny tiny; not all the rooms... More

We stayed at the motel. the motel is nicely located for travelling within the park. It saves a bit of time that would otherwise be lost travelling on the very slow park roads. We were glad for the convenience and ability to walk around the park grounds and enjoy the view. Unfortunately, unless you had one of the end rooms,... More
