Rooms are clean but small and minimal in comforts for the $207 per night. The day was warm and we had no fan, for example. Because of the heat, we had to keep the window open and the room was located above the front of the hotel, so it was noisy until quite late. But the location cannot be beat,... More

Extremely nice place to eat in the park. We did a dinner meal. Upscale presentation and food was great. I did have to ask for my pork chop to be cooked more as I do not eat rare pork. The servers were pleasant and very attentive. This lodge is closest to the park entry so was perfect as we were... More

Just returned from a trip out West with a group of friends and stayed a couple nights at Lake McDonald lodge. It was excellent! We stayed in cabin 9 at the lodge. It has 5 independent rooms in one cabin which makes it great for a group. You have privacy but you're still together. Just steps from the lake, each... More

If rustic facilities in a gorgeous setting satisfy your quest for adventure, this is one of the signal features of Glacier National Park. The historic lodge sits beside a beautiful lake nestled among the mountains and glaciers of the wonderful park, where the surroundings and ambiance far outweigh a need for a large room or fancy amenities. There are adjacent... More

Originally built as a hunting lodge, this old hotel has obviously been well maintained. Hunting trophies still adorn the lobby and art by Charles Russell is also there. Rooms are not fancy, but they are comfortable and clean. No air conditioning, but good screens on the big windows allow fresh air to come in and a fan is provided to... More

1st off no pool. Second this place is busy, we book a cabin with a single double bed which was only big enough for a single double bed. No fridge coffee maker TV and you have to get ice and coffee from the restaraunt but we could park in front of the cabin and the place was great. On to... More

My wife and i stayed 4 nights in mid June in a duplex cabin. I did not exspect much because i know the lodge was built in the 30's. It was small and some what worn. What want when staying in a nat'l park is a quiet place to rest and get ready for a day of adventure.the view of... More

I'm not going to tell you how beautiful it is up there, we all know that! I stayed in the cabins (or as a psychiatric unit would call a patient waiting room) on the lakefront. I'm not a claustrophobic person but these rooms will make you think you are. If you're looking for nostalgic 1940s then I suppose you should... More

Stayed in a suite in the newly renovated Cobb House. What a treat! The Cobb House is a must if you can get a reservation. You'll have a lakeside porch, a fireplace and a wonderful, well appointed room. The main lodge is spectacular, reminiscent of a Swiss chalet. There is decent WiFi in the main lodge if you can't stand... More

We had a great time in GNP. Enchanted with the beautiful scenery of Montana on our drive to the park, we were really looking forward to seeing it but were oblivious to the weather conditions there (it snows in July, even August!).  We arrived in the cold rain and pea soup gloom of the elements to the fog-shrouded, but amazing,...
