Classic lodge experience in a national park. The architecture and decoration of the lobby is charming. We stayed in room 311 which had a view of the creek and just a glimpse of the lake. The relaxing sound of the creek was soothing. The room was on the large size with 2 queen beds, a desk, an a comfortable chair.... More

We had the most amazing stay at Lake McDonald Lodge. The service was impeccable from drop-off, check-in, restaurant and boat rentals. Everyone was very friendly. The fireplace was a neat attraction as it gave off very good heat! The lodge was built in 1914 so don't expect a lot. It is quite charming though. The rooms were on the small... More

We loved our stay at the Lake MdDonald Lodge (opening night of the summer 2015 season)! Room 212 won me over. It was a corner room with two queens and plenty of room. The best was the views out the windows of the water and the creek as a natural sound machine. Yes, the ceiling was squeaky and the bathroom... More

We came here for dessert and drinks after a long day in the park. The restaurant is very nice, but you can still go in your hiking clothes. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The drinks were nice and strong too. The hotel is fantastic on the inside. There is a huge fireplace with lots of seating. We... More

We love the National Park lodges but this was one of our least favorite. Our room was really tiny and overlooked the kitchen fan. It was very hot so we kept the window open and it was noisy. The lodge itself was beautiful and the view in the back is stunning. I would have been much happier if we had... More

It was a nice little place. Bed was comfy, pool was clean, warm showers. Only complaint I might have is the television only had minimal channels. Wish there was a few more national channels (ESPN HGTV type stuff)... Big would recommend it! :)

We had a room with a double bed + sink. As others have said, it's tiny, but a good value considering the cost of other lodging in the park. It was very clean and the renovations are quite nice. The communal shower stalls are ridiculously small for no reason. I'm a thin 6' tall, and could barely reach my lower... More

We stayed at Lake McDonald lodge cabins and had booked a year in advance. Our cabin was extremely small. The bathroom and shower were ridiculously small. The sink was in the sleeping area of the cabin and you could'nt fully open the bathroom door because of the sink. There were twin beds but with the room available, it was more... More

I spent 2 nights at Lake McDonald Lodge late August 2014. I was in the main lodge on the third floor. The room was small, sparse, but adequate. It was clean. There were no issues with the bathroom. I did not hear any noise from adjoining rooms. I had a lakeside room with a private balcony. It was small but... More

We visited the park in September and camped at Avalanche. Since we only camped two nights and flew in, we didn't bring cooking equipment or food. We had to rely on park restaurants while there. This place turned out to be our only option due to hours and offerings (we don't eat pizza). The food really wasn't bad at all,... More
