I only had the opportunity to spend one night at the Palace, but I am glad I did. However, the colleague I went there with had a different experince, as I will explain. I had been wanting the chance to try out the Palace Hotel as I had heard that it was an interesting place. And it was! And as... More

we have stayed at this hotel frequently for the Blues Festival. to begin with the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. without being asked, they helped me carry my luggage up the stairs. the location is perfect for the festival. it is directly across the street from one of the venues. it is also close to the park in which... It's a neat old hotel from the 1800s, but the door on our room didn't meet the casings & all that held it shut was the deadbolt. Had to cover the crack in the door for privacy. Also had to ask for tissues & a blow dryer. Didn't risk taking showers, given the looks of the fittings. Free breakfast was... More

I read your review with dismay and wished you had communicated your concerns to us during your multi-night stay. Because you did not wish to use the shower (which have been up dated) you were unable to experience lots of hot water and great water pressure. Also, we serve many more items during our complimentary continental breakfast each morning, for... More

Yes, it's old. Don't stay here if you are looking for a modern hotel with premium everything. If you are into history and historical places in Silver City- this is the one for you. This building is an old bank that was converted into a hotel by a proprietor with a dream. That in itself makes it a neat experience.... More

Thank you for your inviting review of our 1882 hotel and for making us part of your Silver City experience. We have quite a variety of rooms and suites in our building and while our smaller rooms are across from the microbrewery, our larger ones are located in more quiet areas. In keeping with the era we still have keys... More

Superb old hotel in the picturesque old town area of Silver City. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Decoration was top notch, carefully chosen antiques and period prints and paintings. Good breakfast. Rooms are on the second floor and there is no lift, so this might be a problem for some. Wifi was great, as was breakfast. THE PLACE to... More

The Palace is a late 19th century hotel in the historic part of Silver City. If you're tired of chain hotels and look for something more reasonable, the Palace is a good option. The building is old so don't expect that everything works perfectly. We stayed in two different rooms, neither had a working radiator. The front desk provided heaters... More

Thank you for your comments regarding our historic property. We are presently in the renovation process and apologize for the condition of your bathroom. In this particular two room suite's quirky bathroom your knees will still touch the tub! Our boiler system which supplies steam heat to the radiators is very efficient, but during the warmer spring time months we... More

A friend told us not to miss checking out the Palace Hotel lobby. So we stuck our head in to take a quick look. The gentleman manning the front desk asked if we would like a quick history tour and of course we said "yes". He spent about 15 minutes telling the history of the building and a few tall... More

It was fun to stay in the historic Palace Hotel. It is convenient to shops and restaurants in down town Silver City. There was really the feel of days long gone. It was nice to park right in front of the hotel. The staff works hard and they want guest experience to be good. However the beds are not comfortable... More

My husband and I were looking forward to our visit here. When we made the reservation, we were pleased with the attendant and the price. When we got there, the room smelled a bit. Then we went to take a shower and we barely had warm water. The internet connection didn't work as listed on their flyer. Then it got... More

I appreciate the constructive review of our historic property built in 1882. We feel communication with our staff regarding the issues you encountered regarding your dissatisfaction with the suite could be resolved if you had reached out to us. Unfortunately, the night of your stay we had an unruly guest situation, and if our 24 hour on-site personnel is not... More

We had room 70 which was a 2 room suite. Very large, nicely furnished, comfortable bed. Turned into a hotel Un 1900 and new owners totally renovated. Originally a npbank in 1882. Lots of pictures on walls from 1880's to 1930's. One in particular was Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday taken in 1883 in front of bank which is now... More
