I am originally from Brooklyn, so I would not pay $200 per night to be in Manhattan when I can be in beautiful BayRidge for $109. The room is only slightly bigger than a Midtown room, however (as opposed to big rooms in New Jersey if u can use a car) for this price and I did see/kill a SilverFish... more

In town for a birthday party our family wasn't sure where to stay, after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor we selected the Gregory and were not disappointed. The hotel was fine pace to stay, a typical value hotel, relatively clean and quite. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room clean and quite, the location within walking distance of... more

A comfortable room on the whole, and it was good that breakfast was included. Front desk staff were friendly, which is more than can be said for the chambermaid during my 12-day stay! The hotel is well positioned for inexpensive, good quality food outlets, especially on nearby Fifth Avenue (Brooklyn, not Manhattan!), and it's easy to get to anywhere in... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Gregory over Labor Day weekend in order to attend a baseball game. Overall, we were impressed by the value we received for our money. This is clearly an older property that has been remodeled, and I suspect that the size and layout of the rooms varies. We had a room with a... more

My mother, sister & I stayed at this hotel for a funeral in Brooklyn. My family is from the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, and my sister booked this hotel (guess I know who to blame here!). As soon as we walked through the lobby, we encountered the smell of cigarettes! The doorman was a young guy with a ripped T-shirt,... more

I know there aren't a lot of places to stay in Bay Ridge, but do yourself a favor and skip the Gregory. My boyfriend's family and I discovered bedbugs in the room, and they all had bites after staying here. I found the woman at the front desk to be cooperative, but that was really the only staff I saw.... more

I live in Brooklyn. I booked a room here because my friend came in from out of town to visit me and I have a small apartment. I can tell you that for Brooklyn this is just about as good as it gets. The main plus is the room rate. If you are visiting NYC and get a room in... more

We stayed here for one night in a suite. The hotel its self was lovely better than we expected. We stayed on a Friday night, surprisingly it was very quiet. The staff was very nice. The room was very clean, the only problem was that there were 4 adults so my husband and I took the sofabed. We would have... more

The valet greeted me with a warm smile, and the entire staff was equally charming. My room was spotless, looked newly renovated, and smelled great. Needed a car in the morning and they came through for me! Great Italian, and Greek restauants are 1 block away. Took the subway to Manhattan the next day (1 block to entrace on 4th... more

We stayed here for one evening and were surprised at how dated the hotel was. The walls looked dingy and dirty as did the linens (the bed was very comfortable though). The room smelled of smoke so we chalked it up to the room probably once being a smoking a room. Not the case. The next morning I noticed that... more
