We paid more for a suite because were were there for 5 nights and although pricey, it was worth it for the extra room. Subway stops very close to hotel so a very convenient location. They were renovating part of the hotel so no real restaurant but we weren't planning on eating there so no issue for us. Suite was... More

Location, no doubt, has enabled this property to charge Manhattan prices, both on lodging, food and beverages, but the ambiance and amenities do not justify them. We often stay there because of college meetings in Brooklyn, but have enjoyed more beautiful Marriotts elsewhere. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to our special needs, but, overall, not a good value.

Hotel is very nice and clean! Rooms are good size, beds are comfy.. If you want a partial view, it's an additional $20 per day.. For a full view, $40 per day... I was a little disappointed as they do not offer room service. There is a guest info book inside the room that directed us to look at the... More

I've reviewed this hotel before, explaining why it has become my favorite hotel. So what's new? My most recent stay was on Halloween. I had a special request regarding the accommodations which was handled spectacularly by Sabrina Geyer in the reservations office. When I arrived, a table in the reception area had nine numbered decorated pumpkins, each prepared by one... More

My family - Mother, Father, Sister, 2 Nieces - and I visited NYC for a funeral. We were given the red carpet treatment. Krystal, Jeffrey and Kenneth went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had everything we needed. We had an incident and the doorman - Michael and Security - Julio handled it speedily and to... More

I have never been more inconvenienced in my life. Most people expect peace and some quiet while staying in a hotel. I got neither. They are undergoing construction - extremely loud drilling ALL DAY! Most places would not have the rooms adjacent to the construction available. Not this place! Putting my not year old to sleep was impossible. Forget trying... More

My husband planned the perfect 30th birthday for me! He booked a suite for 2 nights. The first night it was just us and our 19-month-old daughter and the second night he invited friends for dinner and some of them stayed over. We all loved our rooms and enjoyed our stay very much! My 2 best friends got the adjoining... More

My wife and I chose this Marriott due to location for our business needs not for touring the city. It turns out a short subway ride or taxi and Manhattan is easily accessible. The hotel is a little rough around the edges, carpet on entry stairs is very warn, paint is chipping in hallways, grout in bathrooms is missing, door... More

I have been coming to this Marriott for the last 12 years. For me it is much better and cheaper to stay in Brooklyn than Manhattan. Anyways, I must work in Brooklyn and its so easy to get to Manhattan by bike or metro. And some of the coolest places are to be found in the area of Brooklyn. They... More

They are undergoing a renovation. No room service. No real restaurant. They have a temporary bar/restaurant in a cold, drafty completely uninviting space miles from anything. The rest of the place is ok at best. Stay someplace else until this is done.
