I stayed at Rugby Gardens for a couple of nights in July, and I couldn't have been happier. The innkeepers were friendly and accommodating; the breakfast was first-rate (and plentiful); and the place felt like a home away from home. I'll definitely be back. more

Rugby Gardens B&B is a Victorian home in a lovely Brooklyn neighborhood. The rooms on the third floor are comfortable and inviting. It's close to some great restaurants, Prospect Park and the subway - Q line - which goes directly to Manhattan. You can't beat the price and the hospitality. more

We stayed in Rugby Gardens for 4 days in October 2009. The home is very lovely, and Sue couldn't be a more gracious hostess. It's very quiet, and approximately 2 minutes walking distance from the subway. This will be the first place I will check for availability the next time I come to New York! more

We tried to secure accommodation quite late before our trip to New York but finally found Rugby Gardens which was very homely. • The room was quiet (apart from the squeaky floorboards!), the bed was comfortable, wireless internet, TV and DVD player and clean shared bathroom on the same floor. • The area is a mixed bag. • Our hosts... more

We needed to stay near our son's place in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, and we found there are no affordable hotels/motels anywhere close. Brooklyn's neighborhoods give highly varied impressions from good to awful, and they have different safety environments. Rugby Gardens is in a distinct tree-lined pocket of homes. There were plenty of parking spaces on the street;... more

Rugby Gardens is the ideal choice for the visitor interested in an authentic and charming NY experience. Beautiful art, incredibly comfortable & clean room, delightful hosts, quiet and lovely street just south of Prospect Park--this is a real Brooklyn neighborhood with excellent public transportation & dining nearby and offers a welcome respite from sightseeing and time spent in Manhattan. Especially... more

This B&B is a real find in Brooklyn. It is located in an established neighborhood on a tree lined street, removed from high traffic. There were no outside noise issues and it's only a five minute or less walk to the train. The inn is extremely neat, clean and well kept. Our room was very comfortable and the owners are... more

I was a return guest recently at Rugby Gardens and enjoyed my stay as much as the first. I returned because I knew I could count on things being clean and comfortable in my third floor room. It was nice to "catch up" with the Sue and Michael who seem to treat guests as much as friends as guests. Clean,... more

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Rugby Gardens in early December while on a combination work / pleasure trip to NYC. We decided to stay in Brooklyn to both keep the cost of the trip down a bit and to enjoy another side of the city that we had not previously explored. I'm so glad we did! We... more
