We had a great experience at the Loralei, and in Brooklyn. After staying in Manhattan many times, we decided to be a bit different and save some money at the same time. We loved being somewhere more quiet where you could walk around a bit without the crowds. Robert was a wonderful host, with lots of good information. The subway... more

If there could be a special rating for a suberb host, Rob would certainly rate at the very top. The B&B is impeccably clean, restful, and tastefully appointed - a luxurious home. But that's just for starters. My young adult children and I were new to the area, and Rob was extraordinarily helpful in every way, educating us about the... more

I found Loralei via TripAdvisor, and I couldn't be more pleased. Just a couple blocks from the subway, it's easy to get around, and Robert was ready with detailed directions. This cost so much less, but I got so much more service than a hotel in Manhattan. If I were to change one thing, it would be a shower head... more

I've been to the The Loralei B&B twice now and I love it there. Robert is very friendly and great with driving directions in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The subway is also very close and easy to use as well. I have stayed in both rooms, both being very clean and well organized. The baths were also clean and spacious. Plus,... more

We spent a lot of time searching various websites to find value for money accommodation in New York. We then looked at Brooklyn as an alternative and discovered the top rated Loralei on Trip Advisor. This was time well spent, to find this "Gem" so close to Manhattan. If you are wanting clean, spacious rooms, excellent fresh breakfasts,in a quiet area... more

My companion and I could not have been more pleased with our accommodations at the Loralie. We usually stay at a friend's place in Manhattan, but that didn't pan out this year. My companion searched online and came across the Loralie, and it turned out to be a serendipitous discovery. It turned out to be far nicer than we expected--and... more

My friend and I meet every year around the holidays for sightseeing and theatre/opera. I live in Queens, so we usually stay in Manhattan. This year, we couldn't find anything decent, so I threw caution to the wind, looked around, and found a bed and breakfast in Brooklyn, of all places! Well, we hit the jackpot here. Reviews at tripadvisor... more

It was so nice to come "home" to the Loralei after the hustle of Manhattan to recharge. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Robert is an amazing person who made us feel like family. He was helpful in every aspect of our stay. The breakfasts were delicious, varied and always included fresh fruit and delicious coffee. We... more

The innkeeper contacted us before we arrived with helpful information on directions from LaGuardia. He greeted us at the door with a subway map and a tour of the beautifully updated Victorian home. Our party of 3 stayed for four nights and we will be back. The coffee was rich and the continental breakfast perfect. It was a short walk... more

What a great place to stay - while researching accommodation in NY I came across this B&B and thought the reviews can't be this good, it just seemed to good to be true. I made enquiries via email and every response was positive so thought there may be some truth in the reviews so decided to book. Our flight from... more
