This review is late in being complete. But, we stayed at the Loralei a year ago and enjoyed a most wonderful stay. We were in the area looking for an apartment for our son (was starting his first job out of college) and the host, Robert, was super helpful! He offered great advice on restaurants and attractions to see int... More

The Loralei B&B in Brooklyn may not be your first choice of place stay when visiting New York, but if you do decide to take the plunge and stay somewhere outside of Mahanttan then you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. From the moment I booked I found the owner to be warm, helpful, inviting and proud of the city... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Loralei for four nights during a family visit to Brookyn. This is a tree lined Victorian neighborhood within walking distance to great small restaurants and a convenient subway station to Manhattan. Robert served us a wonderful breakfast each morning in his charming antique furnished dining room and was very helpful with any questions... More

Congratulations if You chose to stay at Loralei B&B, N.Y. Me and my Wife stayed there about one week in May 2013 celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. I guess N.Y looks as nice as then and, what I understand, the lovely house at Argyle Road do so to. A special thanks must go to our host Mr. Robert Seidel who... More

My wife and I have been visiting our son, daughter in law and grandson in Brooklyn for the past few years. We were fortunate to find the quality stay that we experienced at the Loralie. The Loralie is a beautiful home in an old Victorian section of Brooklyn. The accommodations are top of the line. The home is beautifully appointed.... More

My search for a place to stay in Brooklyn began with checking out hotels in the Park Slope/Prospect Park area. Most (Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, etc.) average more than $300/night without including New York’s astronomical taxes – I could stay in Manhattan for that price. On my usual visits to New York, I stay with my cousin, who lives... More

As a transplanted New Yorker who went to high school in Brooklyn but has lived in Ohio for over 40 years, we found the Loralei to be such a pleasant surprise. We never knew this neighborhood even existed. Lovely street and home, but the owner Robert made our visit feel like we were still at home. He saw to every... More

The Loralei is a lovely B+B in a pleasant quiet street and and interesting neighbourhood. Robert was full of great advice for travellers and had excellent recommendations for local restaurants. The best are in Courtelyou road, only a few minutes' walk away. Subway is very handy and there are plenty of local stores, laundromats etc. Manhattan is about 25 mins... More

The Loralei is a wonderful base for New York. We'd never stayed in a B and B before, but after seeing how expensive accommodation on Manhattan was, we looked for a different option in Brooklyn and are very happy we did. The B and B is housed in a beautiful 3 level home, with the guest rooms on the middle... More

I hesitated to write a recommendation for the Lorelei B&B in Brooklyn because I wanted to keep it my secret, but it is too good a secret to keep. I started staying there years ago, but too soon its success forced me to call them to book a room before I check with my daughter who lives nearby to see... More
