We stayed at the Loralei for 5 nights in the Gramercy suite in April. What a pleasant surprise, this B and B is a gem. Robert is a wonderful host who is more than willing to take the time to tell you about the local area/restaurants/general information. The Gramercy Suite is delightful, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The B and B... more

My friend and I chose well. We were two ladies with only a week in NY, so spent all day touring all the sights of Manhatten. What a pleasure it was to come back to the quite street in Brooklyn, where we were made to feel completely at home. The local restaurants recomended to us by Robert were perfect, as... more

Last time we visited New York we stayed in Manhattan and this time we felt it would be lovely to have somewhere to chill at the end of what we knew would be hectic days so I really did my homework and found the Loralei Bed and Breakfast which definately earns an A+ for our 6 night stay. The ensuite... more

The last time I stayed in Manhatten, I decided that on my next trip to the area, I would check out accommodations in Brooklyn. I really did my homework and the Loralei Bed and Breakfast earns an A+. My criteria included en suite bathroom, small intimate atmosphere, and close to the subway. The Loralei has it all, plus so much... more

Excellent in every way! We needed alternative accomodation when the rest of our family arrived in Brooklyn this Xmas to stay with our son and his new family (wife and new born daughter). OK , we, the grandparents needed our own space, and give the younger ones theirs. Robert and Lance at the Loralei gave us just that. Space, excellent... more

As frequent European visitors of NYC and its small hotel rooms and mixed service, my wife and I have found an absolute jewel of a bed and breakfast in a hidden jewel of NY which offers exactly what you expect - exceptional atmosphere and a very special home away from home! Robert is an incredibly gracious host and has created... more

Like most people taking a visit to New York I had the choice of staying on Manhaten which was what I had done before but wanted a different lodging experience. Did I get it right by opting for Brooklyn and "The Loralei" YES YES and YES Rob is an excellent host who has a most eclectic knowledge of New York... more

We have just stayed at Loralei and cannot rate it highly enough. The accommodation is perfect and Rob really adds to the experience by being very generous with his time, helping you to find places and things, in our case recommending a chiropractor as well as day to day help, advice and kindness. We really loved Brooklyn and found it... more

We stayed at Loralei in september 2008. The place is really good. Everything is clean, the breakfast is great and Robert is a very welcoming homeowner. Each bedroom has a separate bathroom. The only negative point, to me, is the distance to Manhattan and the fact that Brooklyn has nothing special to exhibit... on the other hand such a B&B... more

We had a great experience at the Loralei, and in Brooklyn. After staying in Manhattan many times, we decided to be a bit different and save some money at the same time. We loved being somewhere more quiet where you could walk around a bit without the crowds. Robert was a wonderful host, with lots of good information. The subway... more
