The YMCA is not bad accommodations at all if your on a budget, what more could you ask for; walking distance to the subway that takes you right back into Manhattan, the actual YMCA is across the street from the police station (safety), and your a few blocks away from Williamsburg Brooklyn, the hippest, up-and-coming area in all of NYC.... More

rooms are basic but perfectly adequate if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your room, (and who does while sight seeing in NYC?) the place feels safe and is reasonably clean. Me and my friend slept well on the beds and they were kind of comfortable to lay on. The shared bathroom was the worst part of the stay. It was uncomfortable and the bathrooms made all the hallways smell of urine. The men's bathroom should have a sliding door that locks when your in the shower like the girls bathroom... More

Very close to metro station. Also, the bus stop is right outside the YMCA building. Hence offers great connectivity. There are few super markets and pharmacy stores near by. It has a nice gym and swimming pool. Rooms are very small - but affordable and clean. Staff is very humble and polite.

Rooms are pretty ordinary, furniture is decades old and the lobby smells as well. On positive side, rooms are clean and breakfast is free. Also, the prices are comparatively better. Suggestion to customers: Search for rooms through Kayak/Priceline/Expedia, etc., BUT book through calling them. I paid $99/night on booking.com, whereas on-the-spot booking in person/on call was $74/night. Yes, 25% differential!... More

The place is very simple but is clean. Even late at night it is very safe. The staff is nice. You get vouchers for an american breakfast in a restaurant quite close. I don t know where they had the pictures of the room from..
