Where to start! Oh god! lets just start out by saying when we booked this hostel we had previously spent two nights at Jazz Hostel in Manhattan. Jazz was only a few dollars more per night but very professional. So lets see. When we arrived at this hostel the door was being replaced. yes the outside door. The building just... More

I stayed for 10 days in this hostel. There are just three bathrooms for over 40 beds, so in the morning it was a caos. There was a nice guy in the staff, but I didn't feel confortable with the other guy. I even slept on the couch a night because they didn't have my bed ready. The only good... More

We arrived in the evening to this hostel after a very long road trip. First of all, we barely found the place, there are absolutely no signs or anything even on the building itself suggesting that this is a hostel. We finally found it following locals' directions and got into the...yep, we thought it would be a reception, too. The... More

Brooklyn was wonderful and I do not regret this hostel as it did the job we wanted. But the hostel felt unfriendly and there wasn't much assistance when we arrived, it all felt a little strange...but it was a cheap room for a night or two in a beautiful city and it was exactly what we needed. Probably quite good... More

After check-in, the staff showed me my bed in the next building and told me the code numbers to enter. That was it. No further explanation of any of the facilities that they have, if there was any. No blanket was given to me either. The staff was busy with his phone the whole time. As he left, he told... More

I really felt at home here. I cooked most days, then ate out in the backyard. On the weekend all we grilled steak outside. There were also a bunch of movies to watch. One of the guys there is even a DJ. Nice :)

I wasn't familiar with Brooklyn before, but it was a lot of fun hanging out here. The staff was really nice and helpful and told me cool places to visit and eat. It was cleaner than the other hostel that I stayed at in Manhattan, and much cheaper too. Thanks guys!

This place has a certificate of occupancy as a 3 family house. The owners have put three and four bunk beds (6 to 8 people) in bedrooms meant for one or two people, which has created the overcrowded conditions mentioned in other reviews. The other guests are friendly, so there's that, but overall you should know that this is not... More

Firstly, I would like to convey to you a short introduction to the people you will be encountering while staying at this vicinity. The "cleaning staff" are people who have previously inhabited this establishment and therefore no previous experience in hygiene and health standards. The manager of the accommodation portrays a rather narcissistic undertone and a lack of interest in... More

This hostel is actually an apartment block with three floors. Each floor was its own apartment (with a living room/kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom). It's been converted into a hostel - which means the living area/kitchen of the upper two floors are now each a 10-bed dorm. The two bedrooms on each floor are 4-bed dorms and 6-bed dorms.... More
