Dekoven suite is a confortable house in Brooklin with a nice room and big breakfast. We have been received very well and we think that this is really the best alternative to the expensive hotels in New York. It is certainly recommended to all that wish to visit New York but also wish to remain in a "family" house. more

Situated in a quiet street but very close to a vibrant part of Brooklyn (plus Subway station), Dekoven Suites is probably the most space you can get for this decent price. We lived in the basement which could have easily housed 6 people. The apartment was huge and even provided us a washing-machine, which was very welcome after weeks of... more

The downstairs suite is a treasure -- lots of space, comfortable, private, everything I needed to spend a week. Hosts Susan and Chalo were warm, friendly, caring, it was a pleasure to be living in their house. Location is convenient, 3 min from subway, 20 min from midtown Manhattan. And the neighborhood itself is one of the nicest in Brooklyn. more

I was honestly leary of staying in a B&B because my husband and I are shy and we didn't want to feel out of place in someone else's home. We didn't feel that way at all. We stayed in the basement, which was perfect for us. We had our own entrance it felt very private. Breakfast was wonderful. I brought... more

This lovely bed and breakfast was more than we had hoped for. Not only was is very close to where both of our children live, it was a superb place to stay. Susie and Chalo are magnificent hosts and very accommodating. It will be the only place where we will stay when visiting Brooklyn in the future. Thanks for everything!... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Dekoven Suites for a few nights while attending a concert in the city. The house is on a quiet, safe court with very easy parking. We arrived when the owners weren't home but they made arrangements for us to receive the key. We were in the upstairs Master bedroom. The bed was very comfortable... more

Just returned from a fabulous seven night stay in the basement apartment at this B & B. Ideally situated 5 minutes walk from Newkirk Av subway station which gets you directly into Manhattan in 25 minutes on the 'B' train, although there is plenty to do and see in Brooklyn. The accomodation is well maintained with a/c, nicely furnished and... more

It’s hard to review Emilia’s Retreat without reviewing DeKoven Suites at the same time. They’re both Victorian houses across the street from each other, Emilia’s at 31 DeKoven Court, and Dekoven at #30. We stayed at both in the same week; Dekoven Suites didn’t have room for all our days, and Susan, the owner, readily recommended her neighbor, Donna, at... more

We just returned from our 2 week vacation on our motorcycle. One of our stops was New York City- we found parking was going to be a problem, found this great B&B in Brooklyn on a quiet cul-de-sac. Was about a 4 min. walk to subway, & took maybe 30 minutes to reach the city. Our hosts called the day... more

We stayed at dekoven suites for a family event in brooklyn- cost of hotels was too high and found this on trip advisor and had very good ratings- didnt know what to expect, but pulling up the tree-lined street the homes were beautiful and we were already very pleased. We had the upstairs room and felt we were actually guests... more
