First off, this Hotel markets itself as being in Williamsburg, it is not. It is in Bedford Stuyvesant right across the street from housing projects. I grew up in the outer boroughs so this wasn't a problem for me, although the Mrs. was a bit intimidated. The hotel has no real parking however I had no problem finding a spot... More

The hotel is nice, it's a new building, well maintained, but the staff and the surroundings of the hotel are appauling. When you walk up to the reception a bulletproof glass divides you from the receptionist. What kind of a message sends this to you travellers? A wrong one definitely. Then at 8.20am the cleaning lady started knocking on everybody's... More

A very cozy boutique hotel , very new , smells fresh with very helpful staff. The location is a negative though but the Subway is like 1 minute walk and 20 minutes direct connection to Manhattan , What else do you want !!

I stayed at the Sumner Hotel over the Labor Day Weekend. The hotel is located in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood, right off of Broadway, a block away from Woodhull Hospital. The pictures posted online are as described. People have complained that the rooms are small, but to me it was okay since I was not spending much time there anyway. I... More

Unfortunately my husbands father had passed away and we had to cancel the flight and by our religion we can't fly for one year from now, all the other hotels did returend us the money of reservation and only this hotel tell... The Hotel is a jewel located unfortunately in a terrible neighborhood of Brooklyn. Service and Rooms were very good. Price is very good for New York. Breakfast was just above average. Good access to the city (Manhattan) by subway. Station is just 50 feet away. Wonderful view of East River and Manhattan - Brooklyn when passing over Williamsburg Bridge. The... More

At arrival they didn't accept a coupon from hotelcoupon and said they knew nothing about it. Fake commercial for a hotel, just one of many problems. We had to pay 100 dollar more than expected. Parking they told us to find a parking spot on the street and had no help what so ever on a good place to park... More

For New York, the price is right. The rooms are a decent size and breakfast is included, but the walls are thin. My friends and I were chatting at a normal volume in our room around 10 pm and had our neighbor bang on the wall for us to quiet down. They also don't have cots and the beds are... More

This place is a joke. While it appears to be a nice hotel, the staff and management are rude and very unhelpful. No parking, and that was just the beginning. We reserved two queens for two nights online. Upon arriving, we were given a single queen with a spa tub in the middle of the room. They also wanted us... More

I stayed here 4 nights while on business in Brooklyn nearby. Everything seemed okay but there was a crack in the granite sink that I should have reported but did not because I don't like to complain. Four days after my return home, my credit card company notified me of a large charge on my credit card. They decided to... More
