We stayed for a couple of nights last week and we really enjoyed the accommodations, the location and the price for this property. Heather runs this rental very professionally and is very helpful and friendly. We will be staying there again when we return in July.

The mini apartment was very stylish. The bed was comfortable. There wasn't a TV, but we didn't miss it one bit. We did have to share a bathroom, but it was never a problem. It is located close to two subway stations for a quick trip to Manhattan. There were good restaurants and bars within walking distance too. Heather was... More

I enjoyed staying here and would come back, but I have to advise: don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed. Depending on where you’re from and how well you know New York, you might find the neighbourhood a bit grotty. I’ll admit to feeling some trepidation arriving here after dark, and the rat scurrying out of my way... More

Sometimes, inexperienced travelers on their first trip to NYC expect that for about $100 a night that they are staying in a uptown Manhattan fancy hotel, (where the rates are hidden in the basement of the building and the bedbugs live in the beds and carpets) and seem to not know anything about other areas outside of those extraordinarily expensive... We arrived at this place late. Being first time visiting the States and first time having to drive and the right all the way from Newark on a rainy night it's a challenged and we didn't failed to locate this guesthouse. We just parked our car outside by the roadside away from the hydrant. For the past 3 nights of... More

Thank you. Unfortunately, we do not often meet our guests, as many leave early to site see and return late at night. These are self catered studios and suites, but we live in our home, on the ground floor if guests need to contact us for any reason, we are always around. We also provide a free hallway phone to... We stayed several nights in suite 2 at casa victoria. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with new furniture. The bed was huge and super comfortable. We loved the teas provided in the common area. The bathroom was bare bones (some hooks for hanging towels would be helpful) but clean. The train stop was just around the corner, which... More

This review is actually NOT for The Alma Victoria Guesthouse at all. However, we provide electric heaters for guests in each room, as heating is automatic, and it is a old house. Some complain it is too hot and some say its too cold. Unfortunately in NYC most old houses are old radiators that have no exact heat control, and... More

We went to NYC for 10 days at the beginning of December, and wanted somewhere to stay where it felt like we were living in New York for just a short while! The Alma Victoria certainly made us feel like this, with a lovely spacious room, fabulously comfy memory foam bed (much needed after all the walking) and a great... More

We enjoyed our confortable and calm studio, an oasis in the turbulente New York ! Brooklyn is a typical quarter, the best hamburgers are in the shop just close to the " Franklin" underground stop. Visit the Brooklyn plants muséum, and enter any Church on sunday to listen gospel... We loved. From Alma home, to Franklin station 4 minutes, and... More
