I have stayed at Baisley House numerous times over the last 4 years and love it. If you like the impersonal, expensive and mechanical atmosphere of regular hotels this is not for you. However, if you want comfort, an intimate home-like atmosphere, a taste of real New York--of the timeless Brooklyn of Walt Whitman--call Harry the next time you travel... more

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Baisley House for nine nights during our first stay in New York. We choosed a Brooklyn-located hotel because of the price since we are both students. Very nice and clean. The decor is over the top Victorian style lots of interesting things to look at. If you like minimalism, this isn't the place for you. We've stayed with Harry at the Baisley House every Christmas for the past few years and we love the place. He serves a fantastic breakfast every morning and during the holiday season he decorates to the nines. The Baisley House is close to the F train and convenient to some of the finest dining in NYC. B&Bs are odd to begin with but we find it rare that the host is actually hostile to our presence. Find somewhere else...we would never recommend business to this individual. more

Where to begin? My partner and I were looking for a quaint place to host our commitment ceremony near the city and stubbled across this wonderful B&B.
