Only book this if you are ok with a very small room, that is the most important. Aside from that this hotel offers a good location in Brooklyn, clean rooms, very tiny reception and a very good breakfast at a diner nearby. Sure, it is not comfortable to have to walk a block to go for breakfast, but you get... More

This property is a good choice for travelers looking for low-priced lodging in Brooklyn that offers convenient access to Manhattan and Queens, as well to Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood. The hotel is located a short walk from the Union Station, which is on the R and N lines. The room rate includes breakfast at a very cool diner next to... More

This hotel is clean, and acceptable in a pinch. However, it does not compare favorably with any other Ascend Collection hotel I've stayed at, or even most Comfort Inns, and I've stayed at hundreds of them over the past 7 years. The walls of the room & bathroom had patches of white spackle all over, and clearly needed fresh paint.... More

Our room was amazingly compact. Good looking decor. Everything we needed was in a small, compact space. Beds were comfortable. Two bottles of water were on the bedside table. TV had limited stations, but we came to Brooklyn to visit our daughter, not to watch TV. The bathroom had a nice walk-in shower and was cleverly set up so that... More

The photo of the room on line makes it look big but actually it was very small even by big city standards. The mattress was horrible, my lovely travel mirror fell off the not so steady shelf in the bathroom.the lighting was very very poor! The staff however was very nice.

It really depends on how flexible you are - literally and figuratively! If you have a sense of humor about the size of the room and the need to climb over your roommate enroute to the bathroom, then you will be ok. Bathroom was big compared to the room. New fixtures and clean. Room seemed a bit less clean, but... More

My daughter, a New Yorker, found this hotel for me, I stayed 4 nights. The front desk was the brightest place in this hotel, the hallways' lighting was too dim for me. The room they gave me was very small, enough to fit the bed, and narrow space to scoop around or walk to the bathroom. I only used the... More

This is my 2nd stay at this hotel and the quality has remained the same within the 3 years. Rooms are tiny, yes, but you only sleep there. They are clean and comfortable and look like the photos on the internet. You get fee wifi and a free cooked breakfast at a diner a few mins walk away with plenty... More

We spent 4 nights in the Union hotel, the room was really tiny but it was quiet and the bathroom was great; We enjoy our time in Brooklyn thanks to its locations and also they offered us voucher for the breakfast in a very cool diner just to block from the unit. The staff is very nice and you can... More

Small and nice hotel in an upcoming area in Brooklyn, only 1 block away from Subwaystation Unionstreet, which is 4 stops away of Downtown Manhattan. The beds are of a good quality (first time ever in a hotel without a sore back...), the rooms a small but clean and comfortable. Staff is really friendly. And the diner where breakfast is... More
