The only thing that soured my stay was the Indian looking gentleman during check-in. Very rude and seemingly irritated young guy. You know him when you see him because his hair is combed to the back, he wears glasses and sort of walks with a limp. Outside of his rude behavior, everything else was just as expected. I planned on... More

No parking, run down, small elevator, hard to get a cab, rooms small, especially bathroom. Good parts. It was VERY CLEAN. Donut shop, hamburger, subway, & local bar within walking. Very close to main 278 highway into NYC. Stay again? Maybe. It was good price for what I needed. Place to sleep. Again, extremely clean rooms.

Compared to the much more expensive hotels in Manhattan, this is a good deal. But be prepared for a crowded hotel in what seems like no man's land. Housekeeping won't clean your room after noon unless you tell them and forget about using the elevator without problems. It's a no frills room in what looks like a sketchy part of... More

You certainly don't stay here for a glitzy New York experience. The neighborhood is fairly dismal. Old shops and dated small residences. One and a half blocks down 13th toward 5th avenue an evicted resident is still squatting outside his former home with his belongings stacked on his stoop. The 5-floor motel, itself, is just ordinary. My room had neither... More

Average Hotel, nothing special. Located in a junky area. Vending machines out of order, main hotel air conditioner out of order during entire stay. Tiny breakfast area with only a few food items. Room was clean and quiet. Direct TV. Corner rooms open door into chest.

There was a total indifference. When pointing out a deficiency there was no sign of improving. There was a total lack of smiles at arrival and throughout the visit (5 days) Worst breakfast experience in a long time. When pointing out the food was depleted half way through breakfast nothing was done. It was still depleted the following morning. The... More

The front desk staff was very helpful and the maid was very accommodating. The hotel needs some updating or regular maintenance when it comes to things like changing out the curtains (the curtains had mildew stains) or addressing the radiator/AC (floor were wet near the AC) after it rains. The bathrooms were a little small, but clean. The rooms were... More

Had a wonderful stay in the brand new looking La Quinta in Brooklyn. Beds were super comfortable. FREE Wi-fi was awesome and free parking, though we lucked out with the last spot was helpful on the wallet after having paid $40 a night in previous cities. Only wish we would have known dogs were allowed in the hotel as we... More

Nice hotel for the area. Very clean. Short walk to subway. Felt fairly safe walking day/night to and from subway (all women and teenage travelers). Being from a small southern town, we weren't too sure at first, but it was ok. Breakfast was limited and small eating area. Staff was helpful. Rooms were small but doable for 4 people.
