it's hard to put into words what a great time we had at the Blue Porch. Trudy and Paul were great hosts and at the end of each day we felt like we going home. The breakfasts were simple but excellent and Trudy baked something special each morning. They provide great advice on travel and things to do around New... More

My friends and I had a lovely long weekend at the Blue Porch -- what a wonderful place to relax and catch up. Having NYC a quick subway ride away was so convenient, the Brooklyn Museum isn't far away, and being able to enjoy TWO concerts in one weekend was such a treat! Waking up after a very good night's... With a week planned in NYC we wanted to avoid squeezing two adults and two teenagers into a single Manhattan hotel room. The Blue Porch was a great find, excellent value and a comfortable and much more relaxing alternative to a hotel. Trudy and Paul were wonderfully helpful and friendly and provided beautiful breakfasts every morning, including freshly baked gingerbread... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Blue Porch when we went to visit our son and daughter-in-law. We may never stay anywhere else in NY after our visit! Paul and Trudy are wonderful hosts. We loved every minute of our stay. The room was perfect, the newly remodeled bathroom is beautiful, the food was great and our conversations with Trudy... More

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed into Paul and Trudy's home. We truly enjoyed visiting with them, our conversations together, and learning from them about their city. When departing, we felt like we had come to visit good friends. Accommodations are excellent, clean and comfortable rooms in a beautiful old home. Trudy's breakfasts are incredible. Convenience to public... More

Trudy and Paul and truly excellent hosts. Their home is truly amazing. Beautiful clean rooms. They give excellent advice as to how to get around and where to go. Pay attention to Paul's recommendations. The breakfasts are out of this world. Trudy is a great cook. This is my first bed and breakfast experience and I am truly pleased. Their... More

From the time you enter the front door and are greeted by Paul and Trudy you will be glad you chose the Blue Porch for your stay . Trudy and Paul are talented conversationalists and are interested in so many subjects. Paul is an accomplished musician and they have a lovely grand piano in their front parlor. Trudy makes the... We stayed four nights and can confirm all previous excellent reviews. We'd not visited the US before, and chose a B&B in the hope of getting to know some locals. We were not disappointed. We like: intelligent discussion, trying to understand the history and culture of a place, a comfortable, clean bed and bathroom and a sensible and varied breakfast,... More

Going to NYC to see our newest grandchild....where to stay? Let me say that we are not typically B&B travelers but we just might become one after the wonderful experience we had at The Blue Porch! Beautiful Victorian home, wonderful accommodations and best of all fascinating hosts have caused us to reconsider our travel preferences. I wish I had some... More

My wife and I and our 20-year old daughter stayed at the Blue Porch for four nights this past August. As stimulating and entertaining as New York is, we count our time conversing with Paul and Trudy as among our most treasured memories. They opened up their beautiful home and personalities to us, treating us more as long-lost prodigal friends... More
