My friend and I were looking forward to a little getaway in New York. First when we got to the hostel we were kind of scared of the neighboorhood and thought it looked a little dangerous, but after one day we completely fell in love with the atmosphere. It is an area that is developping a lot and with a... More

We booked as a three but on the first night we were split into three separate rooms which was a little frustrating however they quickly rectified it the next evening. The directions for getting to the hostel were spot on and it really wasn't too far into Manhattan ~15 minutes which was fine. Nearby are a few places to eat... More

May be I am biased. I just like the lofty looks. I love lofts. I don't know the history of this place, but this place is in a nice building. It's a loft. Has spacious and comfortable common area, with terrace and the decent sized kitchen. There is TV room above the kitchen. I really enjoyed lounging in their common... More

Clean spacious rooms, fab communal areas and awesome back garden. Clean bathrooms and plenty of them so you never have to wait long for a shower. Can be a little noisy at night if your room overlooks the garden area but nothing a pair of earplugs won't sort out! Free breakfast was great with a selection of teas, coffee, bagels... More

I stayed in this hostel a couple of times in 2011 and loved the clean dorm rooms and the atmosphere. So when I returned to NYC for six days with my boyfriend this June, I decided to book a private room with ensuite bathroom. Price: 140 dollar per night for the both of us. Excluding taxes that is, so be... More

So let's start with the pros. The hostel itself is lovely. Big, clean, a great social area, and a never-ending supply of toilet paper. Unfortunately the cons outweigh all the pros. They charge you for everything. Towels, soap, locks, and even use of their computers! This is unheard of. Every other hostel I've been to (5 at the moment) provide... More

This is a real cool place to stay. The hostel itself is modern and clean, has good facilities... good room, internet, kitchen, garden. I really liked how it was decorated... superheros and local icon art. Close to the subway... 5 mins walk. The neighbourhood is amazing... so much street art and graffiti. Really enjoyed my stay here. What a find... More

I'm usually not one to review (but I read the heck out of them before I book), and after the experience I had last week and the service I received here, NY Loft Hostel totally deserves to be written about and reviewed. I went by myself and at first was intimidated by the industrial location but the hostel itself looked... More

I stayed here while I attended the Governors Ball Festival. The weather averaged about 27 degrees Celsius (really hot) and the hostel had some great outdoor spots to chill in the sun. They have an outdoor area that opens up off the kitchen creating an awesome social environment and a good breakfast to go with it. Our room was for... More

This hostel is located in Brooklyn a great up and coming area of NYC especially for youth! It is right of the L line of the subway making it particularly easy to get to from Manhattan each day. It is a relatively new hostel and the rooms are very pleasant clean and tidy. The staff at the front desk were... More
