It's a good option to stay at Brooklyn if you don't want to spend much in hotel. I didn't like it much, so I'll be impartial and will divide bullets in Good and Bad. The Good Ones: * The location, you can go by walk to the subway. * It has free wi-fi. * The common zones are comfortable: the... More

Stayed with a friend for 2 nights. The location is nice if you are ok with subway trip. The breakfast was basic and the staff friendly. However, we had an issue with A/C and nobody was able to fix it : we ask for

I had a wonderful stay at the hostel when I was there in June. The staff was really nice, the hostel was clean and comfortable and it was very well priced. It's not that far from the metro at all and its in a decent enough location that you can get to anywhere from there (even if it means some... More

Big hostel, spacious room i was in (3 bed dorm), location was quite good as it wasnt too far from metro. Some bathrooms got no locks, need to be cleaned more often i guess, and my room got leaked from the bathroom upstairs and the guys tried to sort it out immediately. Overall, pretty average experience, standard for NYC i... More

An excellent hostel with clean rooms, safe with air conditioning and locked drawer where you can store valuable items. It includes breakfast 7-10 in the morning, but I recommend eating before 8 foods such as yogurt and juice over. The hostel is located 2 blocks from the subway Morgan (MTA Line L), which go to Manhattan and leave us into... More

We arrived very late at night and there was no problem at the reception. All the staff is really helpul and nice to the guests. You can eat there really good breakdact with variety of food, mostly typical for US like muffins, penut butter and jelly. The rooms are quite small and there is no choice of rooms for couples... The best hostel we stayed at on our travels!!!!! Perfect for young travelers, I was with a friend but there were lots of solo travelers. They offered a free bbq for guests and free breakfast which was perfect for us. Granted, it was noisy and people took advantage of the lovely outdoor area to sit and drink in the evenings... More

This was by far the best hostel we have stayed in, and we've stayed in many. I would highly recommend staying here. Granted it's a little far from the airport ($100) by taxi from Newark but it was amazing. The staff, the set up, the basement bar were all terrific. By night the surrounding area looked a little dodgy but... More

Great place to stay. It's a nice place. It's like 10 minutes walking to the train. The people from here are nice. The rooms are ok, beds are comfortable. In the morning you have breakfast. It's a nice place if you don't want to spend more money.

We spent 5 nights at that hostel and found it very neat. Even if you are a light sleeper like I am you can make good experiences. I mean, it's New York, so I'd bring a sleeping mask and plugs anyway. There's a bar downstairs and they may have nice events but it is also very noisy at night. We... More
