My husband and I recently stayed at Sterling B & B while visiting our daughter, who lives in Brooklyn, for the holidays. I can't say enough positive things about this darling B&B in Brooklyn! I will start with our hosts; upon arrival we were greeted by Cheney, he was friendly, helpful and provided us with info. about the area. We... More

Stayed at Sterling B&B in December. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and decorated with attention to detail. For breakfast there was to-die-for homemade yogurt and homemade granola, along with fresh-made pastries, fruit, cheese and more. The location to the subway cannot be beat and Franklin Avenue, half a block away, is full of restaurants and other amenities. I will definitely... More

The Sterling Bed and Breakfast offers a number of options from a simple and very private cabin in the back courtyard to the very distinguished wood-paneled parlor-height bedroom with fireplace in a very welcoming Brooklyn brownstone. Located only about three blocks from the subway, it was convenient, but away from the business thoroughfare. The host family was very helpful and... More

The Sterling is a quiet and peaceful retreat in the middle of Brooklyn. The home is handsome and warm, with welcoming hosts and ample breakfast. It provided a convenient access to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Brooklyn Museum, with excellent dining choices nearby. A very nice surprise!

This is a beautiful Brooklyn brownstone property with original ceiling moldings and built in breakfront run by a very hospitable family. It is located in crown heights, an up and coming area in Brooklyn and for me it was ideal - situated halfway between my two daughters' apts. I felt safe [this was a solo trip] and because the guest... More

We stayed in The Cottage for 2 nights in August, the best decision we made. Cheney is a very attentive host, who goes over and beyond duty to provide his guests with everything they can think of. His baked breakfast goodies are just fantastic! Sterling B&B is a very handy location, close to transport, shops and restaurants. Parking is a challenge, we... More

After perusing the unimpressive hotels in Brooklyn, we gave Sterling a try during a recent 3-day trip to Brooklyn. BOY are we glad we did! Our host family was friendly, interesting and accommodating. Their attitude was welcoming and low-key, their hospitality warm and easy. We stayed in the spacious "Arches" room downstairs and we were cool and comfortable. The bed... More

We stayed in The Arches for a week - just beautiful decor and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the freshly baked goodies each morning and the wonderful hospitality. The location is perfect for getting anywhere in Brooklyn or Manhattan and there were markets on the way from the subway. Highly recommend ! - Dennis & Tari

I've stayed here twice over the last couple years, the first time for business and the next time on a pleasure trip to New York City. I stayed once in the Garden Room and the next time in the Cottage. This B&B is an oasis in NYC: so quiet you can hear birds chirp, yet close to the subway and... More

We spent a very nice stay of three nights in Stirling B&B. Cheney and his family are very kind and helpful. The rooms are very large, the WIFI worked very well ; everything was done to staisfy the guests. The B&B is very well located in the center of Brooklyn and close to the metro station. It is a very...
