I'd probably stay here again or I might try somewhere else when I get to return to Brooklyn. Marine was super sweet and funny. The shower and bed were great! And the fact that we got lucky with parking our car on the street and had super easy access to the subway were the highlights. The smell, the carpeting, the... More

I stayed at Sterling B&B over a long weekend. It was a convenient place to stay to both visit with my Brooklyn-based son and to scoot into Manhattan. It's very close to the subway and to the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden. I stayed in two rooms -- the Garden Room in the main hose with a bathroom across the... More

Sterling B&B was an excellent choice for us while visiting our daughter in Brooklyn. The food was delicious, we met some interesting people, and the location was terrific. We had the shared bathroom accommodation. It meant going upstairs to the bathroom, we had no problems with that, but it is of consideration if you have trouble with stairs in the... More

We stayed at the Sterling Bed and Breakfast in Brooklyn when visiting our daughter. We had stayed there about 18 months before, and had had a great experience. We stayed in their cottage, which is across a courtyard behind the main house. It was perfect for us, a haven in the city, with a peaceful spot out behind it where... More

Sterling B&B is clean, attractive, and comfortable; the shower was "reliable" (good strong flow with plenty of hot water); and the continental breakfast included freshly baked pastries and other options that were more than ample to start the day. The granola was homemade and the best I have had anywhere, hands down. There are interesting restaurants in the neighborhood and... More

After reading many positive reviews of this property and looking at the photos on their website, my husband and I were looking forward to our stay at Sterling B & B. Several years ago we had a wonderful experience at a nearby B & B (no longer in operation) near Park Slope and were expecting the same level of comfort... More

Sterling B&B has positives. It’s inexpensive, it’s close to an express subway line, and near Prospect Park. But the negatives abound. The neighborhood may be transitional, but barely. The management is detached with poor follow-through. The rooms have no closets or dressers so you’ll need to live out of your suitcase. Our bathroom was microscopic and across the hall. The... More

Very nice property. Because our son lives in Brooklyn, my husband and I decided to stay in a bed and breakfast in Brooklyn. We always felt safe. The owners were gracious host. We shared family stories. We stayed in the back cottage with the large new private bathroom. The bed was wonderful. The cottage was clean cozy, warm and quite.... More

David, Masha and Marine were "in charge" the weekend my wife and I stayed. They are genuinely concerned about your comfort and welfare and willing to provide directions, recommendations and whatever help you need to make your visit successful with no surprises. Their B & B is very clean, comfortable and they provide a great breakfast complete with homemade muffins... More

My husband and I just stayed here last weekend and had a very pleasant weekend. As others have noted, the owners are charming and very willing to help. It's like staying with old friends in Brooklyn. We stayed downstairs in the Arches, which was very comfortable for our needs (and a great walk-in shower). The WiFi is very fast. Breakfast... More
