We love this place and the owners. It's a truly unique Alaskan Experience. We've stayed with them in 2001, 2004 and 2008. The train rooms are comfortable and fun. The breakfast served is fabulous and the owners may throw in a little "demonstration" of Alaskan culture. We're hoping to get back up there this year. Also the location while possibly... More

Was so looking forward to our stay here & I was not disappointed. Everything was wonderful from our beautiful room to the awesome breakfast we were served. The hosts were friendly and we loved their place. What a unique place and one that everyone should experience. Wish we were staying more than one night.

We stayed last May in the immaculate conception railroad car, certainly the best of a marvelous collection of theme cars. exceptional couple running the place. Great breakfast. Hope to come back sometime. Thank you Susan and Mike Debbie and Dani Yiron Israel

As our Alaska trip revolved around the railroad, what could be better than kicking it off by staying in a Gold-rush era Pullman car? We spent three nights in the Can Can room. Susan is a terrific cook and hostess. I will be forever grateful for her waking me one freezing night to an awesome display of Northern Lights! She... More

Your room may look like a bordello but that's the whole idea in this funky B&B. Each room is inside a real train car sitting on tracks with furnishings from the Gold Rush era. A hot breakfast is served in a separate car. Be sure to ask about the polar bear!

This place was great, you get your own rail car, and each of us then had our own tiny sleeping room. Had a great sleep and then had wonderful breakfast. Owner is a piece of work, she yells out "who wants coffee" from behind the stove of the kitchen on dining car. This isn't Four Seasons, it is like visiting... More

This is definitely one of those places that you have to say you stayed in! We stayed in the Can Can room- which was decorated in a very 'over-the-top' way! Such a neat place, and beautiful view! The hosts were great and very friendly. The only con is that there was no wi-fi.

What a cute idea!!! Well worth the stay!!! The décor Suzie comes up with is absolutely outstanding!!! so fun, naughty, not politically correct :) The last place you expect a train to be is in the middle of the mountain... btw Suzie is your true Alaskan hostess- best described as Aunt Suzie!

If you like things a little quirky you'll love this bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Caboose and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts were friendly and full of energy. When you're there look at the photos of how Mike managed to move the train, piece by piece, across the State to their hillside property. Also,... More

We stayed for one night in the Aurora Express Caboose. It was a very unique place to stay. Very comfortable bed, tight potty room but adequate, still had the smell of a train (not a bad smell), very quiet location a few miles out of town and great views overlooking the river and Fairbanks. The chairs up in the observation... More
