My wife and I stayed here the last night of our Alaska Railroad Tour from Anchorage to Fairbanks. This Westmark is a much nicer hotel than their one in Anchorage. It's not in the best part of town but is an easy walk to the downtown area. The hotel was very clean and the rooms somewhat spacious. The beds were... More

We stayed overnight at the Westmark before heading to Denali. The stay was part of our cruise package. The bed was ok. The bedspread looked liked it had seen a lot of wear. The hotel had blackout curtains which was good since the sun did not set. There is a wonderful gift shop in the lobby.

We visited this hotel as part of our land/cruise tour and found the room to be very clean, spacious and comfortable. This property compares to most mainland hotels and was nicely appointed with new carpet and updated baths/vanaties. The whopping 30" Tube TV is the only leftover forbthenprior decade-but cable in Alaska has not been worth watching anyway.

We had a 2 night stay here while on our Alaska Land tour. It was a nice hotel. The room was good though we did not think it had been cleaned adequately as we found a soda bottle top by the bed when we arrived and it was still there when we left 2 days later. The lobby area was... More

We stayed here for one night prior to beginning a land tour of Alaska. It was very comfortable but also quite impersonal. They put us in a spacious room on the ground floor where our outlook was over the car park. There are two restaurants, serving mostly very American food, everything with French fries - not good! The part of... More

The hotel in Fairbanks is better than the one in Anchorage. Our room was comfortable and clean but no safe and no fridge. The staff are really helpful and it is easy to walk around Fairbanks from the hotel. We had lunch at their Red Lantern restaurant and dinner at the Northern Lights - both were good and reasonably priced.... More

I stayed here for one night while traveling all over Alaska. I did not make the reservation, but I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel. All we really did in the hotel was sleep and shower, but and it met those needs quite nicely. The beds were comfortable and the showers worked well (and included complimentary soap, shampoo, and... Holland America owns this hotel (I've been told) and booked us here after our Denali tour. About four miles from the airport and six blocks from the downtown area. Large property, fairly new, nice-sized rooms with average amenities, no view. Staff here is very helpful and on-site baggage check was very welcome. Shuttle to airport starts at 5:30 am and... More

The cruise line (Holland America) chose this hotel for us and we were pleasantly surprised to be given a two-room suite. I did have a big issue with the so-called "business center". I spent an hour trying to print boarding passes as two of the three computers were out of order. The restaurant was OK, but nothing to write home... More

This is the Fairbanks hotel for Holland America. Let me first say that their operation is SMOOTH. As part of a land and sea tour, they handle everything. From airport to bus to hotel to excursions, everything is planned and assigned to the last detail. Your itinerary and room keys and helpful info are handed to you as you depart... More
