We stayed in a few different Westmark hotels as part of a tour with Holland America. It was okay but definitely our least favourite. This is a fairly large frequently used hotel by HAL for their cruisetour passengers. As such some rooms are in constant use. The first floor defintely is and the rooms show it. I don't get all of the other reviews! This place was perfect. We had a great clean room, friendly service, all details taken care of. Since we were on and extended trip the guest laundry came in handy. Guests needed their room key for access. more

We booked a room at Westmark (mid March 09). We took the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Fairbanks, a wonderful, beautiful ride and we arrived in Fairbanks. This hotel was adequate for the price. The front lobby staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant and food was exceptional. The rooms were outdated and utilitarian. Also, the wireless internet did not work in our room. Nothing spectacular, but I would stay here again. more

Stayed 3 nights, Sep 19-21, 2008. Stayed in North Tower. Booked thru Expedia at $80 per night. I agree with other posts, the evening staff are much nicer and friendlier than the day time staff. Part of Holland America tour The room in South Tower was clean but cramped. Cleaning staff very friendly. Desk staff during the day a waste of time. The night staff were very helpful.
