I stayed here overnight on a business trip, and I was very pleased with the stay. The good: Incredibly friendly staff. The front desk associates were very helpful. The airport shuttle driver gave me a ride to the airport at 4:00 am, with a smile. The room was comfortable. The hotel itself is quiet and very cozy. The location is... more

The 2 queen-bed room is not spacious, but the hotel is very clean and the beds are quite comfortable. Price is average for Fairbanks in the summer and they have a very nice continental breakfast spread in the morning. We did not eat at the restaurant. We would stay there again. more

The price was high (a little over $100 per night), but substantially cheaper than many chain hotels in town. The location is prime, if you have business at the airport or UAF. The hotel itself has nice fixtures, microwave and refrigerator in each room, and air conditioning. The lobby is nice. The staff members I interacted with were also very... more

I cannot add anything more to what that reviewer described. I did not eat in the restaurant but did have some cocktails. I know from speaking with owners there that they are trying to improve the restaurant and appear to be caring. The prices are high but several places deliver, and the list is in the room. more

The rooms are a bit small, but comfortable, and the property seems to be well maintained. It lacks a pool/spa even though the book in the room says they have one. Found out that when it was being built, they decide to for go the pool facility for a restaurant, big mistake cause the restaurant is over priced and the... more

I carefully researched all the lodges and hotels in Fairbanks prior to our one week trip. My husband and I were looking for a convenient, friendly, very clean, comfortable, hotel. And, we couldn't decide whether to rent a car for our entire stay or just for day trips. We finally determined based on the Lodge shuttle service that renting a... more

Stayed here after late night flight from Wa. There were 4 or 5 older bikers staying in the room next door that were very noisy. I first asked them myself to be a little quieter, then asked the hotel staff when that got no results. The desk manager made an excuse for them, how they travel through periodically, and when... more

Very well kept hotel, clean and tidy. The rooms are not particularly spacious, but quite comfortable. If you like aeroplanes - like I do - one side of the building has got a good view of Fairbanks airport; if you prefer maximum quietness, there are rooms on the opposite side too. Breakfast was alright, with only one thing that I... more

The Alpine is a decent place to stay. Nothing special, but nothing negative to it either. The rooms are a decent size, and spotlessly clean. Fairbanks is a very spread out small city, and I have a hard time calling 4 blocks a city center, so even if you stayed at either of the two "downtown" hotels, you would not... more

Was put into this hotel as part of a land/cruise package. An average hotel - nothing bad, nothing really good. Appeared to be clean and comfortable. One plus - they did have wireless internet - apparently a rarity in Alaska! Very close to airport as others have said. Did not eat in the restaurant, nor did we have breakfast here... more
