The final night of our winter vacation in Fairbanks was spent in a fireplace room at Pikes's. ( because it was close to the airport) We arrived in a howling snowstorm that kept threatening to blow open our balcony doors. A couple of hours later, however, the snow stopped and the clouds broke to reveal a brilliant aurora display. This... More

I used to live up here in Alaska and made frequent visits to Pikes Lodge. In the summer months the view over the Chena River, they serve you on the deck, food is fresh and prices reasonable for Alaska. In the winter dining is indoors in the large restaurant or bar adjoining. On this occasion I went there for dinner... More

Just before leaving for Fairbanks I checked the reviews for Pike’s Waterfront Lodge and saw enough negatives to wonder if I had made the right choice in accommodations. We have now returned from our winter trip and I am happy to say Pike’s was great! It was also a good value. Our room offered striking views of the river, and... More

This hotel was located close to the airport, easy drive into town, next to the chena river, free breakfast, very clean rooms, free freshy baked cookies in the lobby, have us a wake up call when the northern lights were active, we would go back in the future

My mother and I decided to take the train up to Fairbanks to see the World Ice Championship. While the sculptures were fantastic, we were less impressed with the hotel. The hotel had been booked through the Alaskan Railroad tours, so we had little choice. Outside on the hotel sign, it says that it is the "friendliest hotel in Fairbanks."... More

Just stayed at Pike's the first week of March. Great hotel with a great staff....very helpful. The hotel shuttle was very accommodating....we had to make a few trips back and forth from the airport since we were a party of 9 with LOTS of luggage. But the driver was wonderful...even coming inside to help with bags. He also took us... More

Took our youth group up to perform at the Festival of Native Arts at UAF and were housed by the organizers at Pike's. I had never stayed there before so I wasn't sure what to expect but knowing who the owner was and his reputation as a business owner gave me some hope. I was not disappointed. Upon arrival we... Thank you for writing about your experience during the Iditarod. You were there on probably the single busiest day that we have ever had. We served over 1000 free breakfasts that day to support the Iditarod. The problem with the wifi was that we had an overwhelming amount of users and our equipment and internet provider couldn't keep up. When... More

Other than the two drunk guys shoving each other into the wall in the hallway at 1am, I had a very nice experience at Pikes. Friendly service, nice perks such as free ice cream in the evenings, and a good restaurant across the parking lot. I was there for a conference, and appreciated the service they provided for that as... More

Pike's is perfectly located; near the airport, a short trip into downtown, and right on the Chena River. The rooms were clean and comfortable; fun furniture gives it a nice touch. Be sure to read the little signs on the walls along the hallways - some great information about Fairbanks and Alaska! The main lobby is also an incredibly comfortable... More

We stayed here one night when we arrived in Fairbanks. It was July and the temps were very nice. The flies were thick at the restaurant outside dining area but the food was good. The room was clean and comfortable.
